My Mission
For the last 18 years, I've spent most of my days behind a camera. Starting out with a Sony Handy Cam and filming shorts for the fun of it, I never would have thought in a million years that it would become my life, however filming and editing quickly became my passion. It wasn't until 2010 when I truly believed that it could go somewhere. A group of friends and myself produced a few films that went public. One of them even ended up on Fox 2 News.
And that's when that spark that had been going off so long finally erupted into a flame. I went back to school at Specs Howard in 2012 and graduated top of my class. I also ended my streak of dead end jobs and started out freelance at an advertising agency. After seven months, I was hired on as staff and I ever since then, I’ve been working in both production and post-production for the last 5 and half years with some of the coolest people that I’ve ever met. And honestly, I couldn't be any happier.
But after working on narrative films for so long, I decided that there was a lot more than just film fiction out there in the world. I would come home everyday to my beautiful wife and daughter and think, "You know, one day, we'll be old and our daughter will be married with kids of her own. And I'm sure she'll wonder about her life."
And that made me think. Document all that you can, and that's exactly what I did. And then I thought, “why not everyone else too!?” I mean, it's something you really don't give a thought about until it's too late. Don't get me wrong, photos are, and have always been a great way to look back on memories. But video is just as important, if not... more.
