"I’m not sure how to put into words how very grateful I am for everything that they did for me and my family. I lost my husband at the beginning of January, and it was the hardest thing I have ever gone through. When you’re in your mid-thirties you don’t expect to have to make the decisions you have to when you lose the love of your life. I could barely function. They helped me and my two daughters plan an amazing memorial for him. They took care of pretty much everything and you could tell they truly cared."

Music is magical. It can remind of us of special moments in our lives, joyous memories, as well as heartfelt memories. It can transcend time and bring us right back to a memory enjoyed with our loved ones.

In New Orleans, Louisiana, one of the most famous traditions is the jazz funeral procession. It combines West African, French, and African-American traditions, and funeral mourners are led by a marching band. Most often, the jazz funeral is lead by the family and friends of the deceased, along with a brass band. The procession begins at the home, or funeral home or church, and moves onward to the cemetery.
