Basilica Hudson is a non-profit multidisciplinary arts center in Hudson, NY, supporting the creation, production and presentation of arts and culture while fostering sustainable community by offering a platform for artists, makers and farmers. Founded in 2010 by musician Melissa Auf der Maur and filmmaker Tony Stone, Basilica Hudson makes its home in a spectacular solar-powered reclaimed 1880s ind

ustrial factory on the waterfront of the historic City of Hudson. Deeply rooted in its community, Basilica Hudson has evolved in tandem with the City of Hudson’s ongoing transformation and has drawn inspiration for its mission and programs from the city’s eclectic and epic history. Through its programs, Basilica Hudson invites audiences to discover Hudson and the region, and strives to forge experiences that aspire to the scale, grit and beauty of its surroundings. These programs advance Basilica Hudson’s vision to unify urban, rural and industrial through arts and culture and by bringing its community together.

2024 YEAR IN REVIEW

2024 featured packed, once-in-a-lifetime gigs, happy, bustling markets, essential gallery shows of work by local artists, unbelievable parties, family activities, thoughtful film screenings, and so much more. It was an amazing season of programming in our eco-friendly foundry by the river.

Basilica Hudson has enchanted a global audience of diverse dreamers, bringing in performers and attendees from all over the region, the state, and the world for dazzling, epically scaled, in-person gatherings. By now an undeniable Hudson Valley gem, Basilica has in its 14 years of operation become the place where artists, makers, and other wonderful humans collectively enrich our lives.

You are a part of that magic, too, and here’s a look at what we got up to together this year.

The Basilica Farm & Flea Holiday Market returns in less than a week just after Thanksgiving on Friday, November 29, Saturday, November 30th, & Sunday, December 1st. Day and weekend passes are available online or can be purchased at the door day-of.

Born Thanksgiving Weekend 2013 as an antidote to big box Black Friday, Basilica Farm & Flea is part timeless flea and farmer’s market and part 21st century craft and design fair. Each market features a diverse group of regional vendors selling their wares alongside locally-sourced, farm-fresh foods. The markets embody love of vintage and recycled, locally-sourced agriculture and the beautifully handmade. With over 10,000 square feet of raw space, Basilica Farm & Flea is one of the only markets of this scale in the region. At each market, shoppers get the chance to connect with designers and makers in person, adding a memorable note to the pieces they buy and creating a lasting connection. With a ‘no barcode, no plastic wrap’ ethos, Basilica Farm & Flea showcases the splendor of Hudson Valley local makers, farmers and collectors with a focus on homemade and vintage goods.
