“I am so happy we used A Bushel and A Peck Vintage rentals for our wedding! We rented a lounge set and navy goblets for our wedding. The lounge area was perfect. It was so fun to see how the design came together. The navy goblets tied our table scapes together. Everything we rented arrived on time and was a great addition to our wedding! It was so fun working with them to create a unique space at our venue!”

What a treat to get a notification of reviews in my mailbox today from one of our recent brides, Lindsay. (I am the worst at requesting reviews even though they mean the world and ease the worry if my people pleasing soul.)

Thank you for your sweet words, we loved being a part of your gorgeous wedding and love story!!!

Take a look to get a glimpse of all the effort, energy, love, & attention to detail that goes into our events by a look at the lounge area & process for Madison & Collin’s wedding
If you look through you’ll see a moodboard provided by planner which I used with our design/package questionnaire to go through all our available inventory to create multiple options for our couple to choose from.
Next, I sent list of pieces to AVAPVR team to pull pieces, thoroughly clean & check pieces, & carefully load for delivery.
Preparations still pending at this point:
-ensure all pieces are correctly pulled, prepped, & loaded
-hand select pillow options
-coordinate with clients, planner, venue to ensure aware of delivery/pickup details etc
-For this particular wedding, I also messaged extensively about travel route, roads, etc to ensure safe to travel to location in box truck

Delivery day:
-ABAPVR team delivered all prepped pieces & placed in general area
-I arrived a bit later to bring space together, place pieces, double check everything, finalize pillows & placement, check in with venue, ensure mother of the bride is happy (was worried if you look at images after their delivery because not setup & didn’t realize I still had to setup/style), & of course make sure clients are happy ❣️
Like every profession, craft, & process there is so much that goes into all we do & thought I’d take a moment to show from moodboard to options to pulling to delivery to setup & styling to checking in with clients, vendors, & venues.
Also, last image is a glimpse of the photography team capturing images of the bride & her bridesmaids 🤩
We love being able to be a part of these moments so much!
“The work no one sees matters too” & we truly take this to heart in all we do for our clients.
Hoping more to come with gallery 🤞

Counting down the days until we get to be back at ❣️
We haven’t been up to since and have missed the people, the place, the drive….all of it so much.
I don’t think I realized it, but it had become like a second home with how much we are blessed to be there.
So many prayers for all that were affected by the hurricane.
I haven’t felt able to post because what can you say, how can you convey, how can you show support, show how much you care, be there for loved ones, friends, and our wonderful clients.
The amount of love, support, and grace of our clients has been so beautiful. To see our clients rescheduling, postponing, and working with everyone so much is heartwarming, to hear them say that they care about the area, the businesses, the people, the venue, and vendors is unexpected.
In a service industry like this, we are used to doing, serving, meeting needs, solving problems, making things happen, and doing all we can to make our clients happy….we aren’t here to be thought of, we are here to bring your dream wedding to life…the fact that you all see us, care for us, and care so much about this area means the world!
I have so much to share with you all, but been completely consumed…soon I will try to share some of what we’ve been up to and creating.
So thankful to each and every client that reached out, that prayed, and were so loving.

On Wednesday morning, October 23, 2024, the Blue Ridge Parkway opened to traffic from milepost 285.5, at Bamboo Gap, to milepost 305, near Beacon Heights, in the Blowing Rock, North Carolina area. This is the first section of roadway to open in North Carolina since Hurricane Helene. Opening this section of the park provides improved transportation links while communities address ongoing storm recovery on other local routes.

"We realize how critical the Parkway is for our region,” said Blue Ridge Parkway Superintendent Tracy Swartout. “While much work remains, we are prioritizing our efforts in less-damaged areas that have the most impact for community connectivity, and that we are able to reopen safely. We are anticipating opening additional sections of the Parkway that support adjoining communities, soon.”

Because the Parkway is a narrow, two-lane road with shifting grades, curves, and limited sight distances, commercial vehicles are prohibited on the Blue Ridge Parkway for the safety of all drivers. There are no truck lanes, runaway truck ramps or places for a large commercial vehicle to slow down and pull over. Violators will be subject to a citation as well as a fine of up to $5,000.

Park visitors are also urged to use extra caution when visiting the parkway areas that are open. Visitors should anticipate closed facilities and trails in this approximately 20-mile section of the park and follow directions on local signage regarding facility or trail closures.

Sites CLOSED for ongoing assessment and repair within the specified corridor include:
Interior of the Moses Cone Manor House and Carriage Barn restrooms, milepost 294.0
Boone Fork Trail, milepost 296.5
Price Park Campground, milepost 296.9

Areas that will be OPEN to visitors within the specified corridor include:
Bass Lake (restrooms available), milepost 294
Moses Cone Manor House parking and carriage trails (no restrooms available), in and around milepost 294
Price Lake Picnic Area (expect portable toilets), milepost 296.4
Other trails between milepost 285.5 and 305 (use with extreme caution)

Visitors should be aware that trail assessments have not been completed and caution should be exercised when hiking. Visitors may encounter hazards on trails such as landslides, tree debris, and washed-out sections or bridges. For safety reasons, the park asks that people continue to be patient and respect remaining closures. Multiple seen and unseen hazards exist in closed areas and crews and heavy equipment will be working to make areas safe for reentry.

The hurricane left tens of thousands of downed trees across the roadway and caused nearly three dozen rock and mud slides. The slides have occurred above and below the road and have also severely damaged or swept away the roadbed in numerous places. To date, crews have reopened over 200 miles of road. Since September 30, 2024, over 100 Blue Ridge Parkway employees, along with over 275 employees from 37 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, representing 64 parks and offices across the NPS, have been on the Parkway assisting with recovery efforts. Their expertise spans a wide variety of roles including sawyers, carpenters, arborists, and equipment operators.

Current conditions and updates can be found on the Blue Ridge Parkway website at https://ow.ly/sxZ750TRz20 and on the park’s social media platforms at (Facebook, X and Instagram).

Pivoting, we are here to assist anyway we can.
Reached out to one of our favorites as we compile resources for clients, couples, venues, and vendors! We are working on venues with availability, vendors available, as well as couples liking to possibly help with resources. Our primary focus is of course all going on with Hurricane Helene, but also wanting to help couples that are stressed and anxious about their wedding, but don’t know where to turn…so we are trying to help with that too.
The list of venues/vendors/resources will be focused in areas of Western Nc that were/are affected, but still functioning or will be as well as resources off the mountain east of the area that are here to help.
Venues and vendors affected look out for emails and/or contact us if you need help or assistance OR if you would like to be added to compiled venues/vendors for referrals, providing possible location, services, etc.
We are trying to get caught up after no power/wifi for 5 days, but also trying to help areas affected and couples that are anxious and having to pivot, postpone, rethink their plans.

Not sure where to begin or start with all going on…
We are safe & our power just came back on last night.
I will be working on getting caught up with emails, follow ups, etc & we are also prepping/delivering this week’s events for the balance of the week. Sorry for delay, but finally have WiFi & power to charge devices, yay!
I am also going to be reaching out to venues & vendors in nc foothills & beyond that could be possible alternatives for our clients scrambling to figure out where to go/what to do.
Please be patient with venues & vendors as we navigate what is best for our clients as well as our businesses, the community, safety for all etc.
The past few days have been a whirlwind & as much so much was lost & you can see/feel all the heartbreak…you can also see people & communities coming together, primary & secondary areas affected by standing together & showing up, churches, schools, & businesses opening their doors, schedules, hearts, & wallets to support.
We are working to hopefully fill our 16ft box truck if we can coordinate with some options to drop off supplies in the high country to be disbursed & serving up in the area that was the first place/area I lived when I moved to NC over 20 years ago & an area my family visited for years before moving.
The is a place where God’s light has always shown so bright in their scenery, views, & wonder….now God’s light is shining through by the love, support, generosity, hard work, prayers, & selflessness as it is brought back to life.
So much love & prayers for the nc high country as well as everyone/everywhere in
Reach out, pray, get on the ground & volunteer, give, or do anything you can for an area that so many of us see so much of God’s beauty.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
If you are needing assistance in where/how to help feel free to reach out & I will be happy to help.
Clients please make sure you are emailing directly at [email protected] for quickest response.
Thanks a Bushel for you patience, love, & support during this time.
