Hey everyone. I wanted to let you know the shop is closed permanently. But I also wanted to tell you about my experience and why it didn’t work out.
I sold the shop as for sale by owner. I basically took a deposit of $1000 and was financing the remainder of the balance. I told them to wait 6 months to make their first payment so they could get established.
The shop was then renamed
“Daisy’s House of Flowers” and was run by CrystalLee Smith. She proceeded to throw out many of my things. Got rid of some of my antiques, left the store a mess with rotting flowers sitting outside of the coolers. Also used pillars and arch for a wedding after the store was to have closed and said the couple ruined my pillars and arch so they burned them. These were worth hundreds of dollars.
Long story short her and the boyfriend decided to close the shop for personal reasons as of May 31st. Guess What? Their first payment was due to me in June.
So the long and short of it is that I got $1000 and she cleaned out many of my antiques, supplies etc. she had people come in and take things the last few days they were open.
Oh and guess what? I worked with her for well over 30 days for free to try and help them out!
Sorry there is no longer a flower shop in Hughesville. I really wanted this to work out.
Bottom line, I’m out thousands of dollars.
And not much can be done.
