Our next Friends of the Fair spotlight today is for the generous folks who donate the funds for the Horse Show Awards. The Open Class, 4-H and Ranch Horse Award sponsors are Fisher Farms (Lee and Betty Jo Fisher), CO-ED Cattle Company (Pepper and LaRay Patton), Meier Custom Embroidery & More (Richard Meier), Colorado Championship Ranch Rodeo, Yoder Ranch (Kenny and Karla Yoder) and Kissel Horses (Dude and Rynea Kissel). Thank you all so much for your continued support of the Lincoln County Fair.

Come out to the Lincoln County Fairgrounds on Thursday, August 8 for the Cowbelles & Friends Benefit for The Hogan Family. Mark Hogan was a member of the Rodeo Road Apples. They played at our Ranch Rodeo for many years. This was a beloved band that many of our spectators enjoyed.

Please come out to support this family if you can. There will be a silent auction during the Steak Dinner followed by a live auction. Proceeds from both auctions go to the Hogan Family.

If you would like to donate an item for either auction please drop them at the FSA Office in Hugo with Brenda Toft. For more information or questions please reach out to Eastern Plains Cowbelles.

The CCRR Youth Ranch Rodeo was a blast! There are a lot of handy young cowboys and cowgirls out there!! Congratulations to Sterling Ranches on becoming the newest CCRR Champion! They’ll be competing in Amarillo in November at the WRCA Working Ranch Cowboys Association World Championships!

23rd Annual CCRR is in the books! Congrats to Circle M8! They cleaned house this weekend! 2nd place went to Sandhill/McMillen and 3rd went to Snyder/Woolfolk. Both Circle M8 and Sandhill/McMillen had already qualified for the WRCA Working Ranch Cowboys Association World Championship so we are very happy to have Snyder/Woolfolk representing CCRR at finals!!! Great job to everyone!!

We went old school for the Lincoln County Fair & Events Parade!

The western Trade Show is up and running and will be open until 8 PM. There’s also numerous outdoor vendors as well as food vendors. There’s something for everyone! Don’t forget to come watch the open Memorial Bronc riding at 2 o’clock and the second rodeo performance at 5!

What a better way to finish off a good day and great rodeo performance than a band on a Friday night?! The Rodeo Road Apples are playing NOW between Plains Bar and the VFW in Hugo! Annnnd… it’s FREE!

Enjoy the rodeo! Second perf of the 20th Annual CCRR in Hugo!

Trade show is open today 8:30 AM-8 PM. Come say hi!
