Every year we use the winter off-season to host a few events of our own. Last Friday we hosted a styled shoot. A styled shoot is a collaborative effort between various wedding vendors to stage a scene to showcase the skills, products and creativity of the vendors involved. The style of this year’s shoot was inspired by the Netflix show Peaky Blinders set in the 1920s. I am so grateful for all of the amazing vendors who stepped up to be a part of this day and help make our vision come to life. We had two photographers involved. Thank you to everyone who joined Saturday’s Open House at The Ivory Barn! We had such a great time connecting with all of you, and we’re thrilled to announce the winners of our drawing for four amazing prizes:

1st Prize: – $100 gift card to LakeHouse Wine Bar and Grill is a beautiful new restaurant located a few miles from the venue on Lake Norman.

Join us for an exciting, hands-on tour of our beautiful wedding venue! During this interactive event, couples will journey through different stations, each showcasing a unique part of the venue. At each station, you’ll get a closer look at everything from ceremony spaces to reception areas, getting to meet some of our favorite vendors—and pick up stickers for your "passport" along the way!

Last year we had so much fun we thought we would do it again.
Join us for this second annual event on Friday, January 31 from 7-10 pm at The Ivory Barn.
We will have bites provided by Total Events Catering, cocktails poured by Bartenders Plus, and Carolina DJ Pros will be playing that funky music.
Some furniture from New South Rentals will give us lounge space to have those connecting conversations while Honey Photo Booth captures proof of the good times we will have!
We cannot wait to make new connections, celebrate old friendships, and dance the night away!

Yesterday, we celebrated the last wedding of 2024, and it was truly special. We first met this family when the bride was just three years old, attending preschool with our son. Over the past 20 years, our paths have crossed many times, and we’ve stayed in touch. This fall, we were overjoyed when Bobby proposed to Kennedy here on our property, and deeply honored when they chose our venue for their wedding.
Watching perform during her daughter’s wedding and seeing Kennedy, eyes closed and completely absorbed in the moment, had me in tears. It was such a beautiful, unforgettable moment.
Congratulations to you both! I know your life together will be filled with love and happiness.

Kelsey and RAF’s wedding was filled with joy, and their adorable pups added an extra touch of love to the celebration. One of the most special aspects of their day was how they beautifully incorporated RAF’s Peruvian heritage. The handmade napkins crafted from fabric brought in from Peru were a stunning personal touch, as was the Peruvian Causa appetizer served during cocktail hour—both meaningful elements that made their wedding day even more unique and unforgettable.

Kevin and I have so much to be thankful for as we round the corner to finish up year two. We have been reflecting on what contributed most to a successful second year. It’s the vendors. We have so much appreciation for the vendors who show up week after week, prepared and ready to work as a team, to put on these fabulous events for our shared clients.
