The weather on Saturday, was as beautiful as the love we celebrated.
This radiant bride married a really good guy. Her mom shared my first name and her dad was often seen the dance floor wearing a big smile on his face. It was good to have Will with back in the barn. He kept the dance floor fun! Congratulations to the Howglands

Allie and Griffin adore each other and it makes everyone around them smile. The speeches were thoughtful and well delivered, the dance floor stayed full, and the patio cigar bar was a hit! This was such a fun wedding and we wish this couple many more sweet years together.

The leaves had just started to change out back for Olivia and Scott’s wedding. And those colors paired perfectly with the vintage fall hues in their wedding flowers. It was a beautiful day made even sweeter by the perfect cadence they used to ring the bell in the pavilion at the end of their ceremony. Congratulations! It was a very good day.

The devastation in Western NC is unimaginable. So many people on all different levels are struggling to figure out how to move forward.
Since the hurricane, our social media feeds have been filled with tragic pictures of the catastrophic flooding and disastrous ruins.
Today on our feed, I am seeing thousands of people, making huge efforts to help, instructing what the immediate needs are and giving out donation drop off locations. They are sharing links you can go to to donate money, so organizations like American Red Cross can set up safe shelters and provide food, water, and emergency supplies to those affected. I am proud of this community.

We at The Ivory Barn are heartbroken to read the emails, and answer the phone calls coming in from all the couples who are days or weeks out from their wedding dates and are scrambling to find a new venue to host their special day. If you are a couple who had a venue booked for your wedding and due to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, your wedding at that location will no longer be possible, please reach out to us to learn about our compassion pricing. We absolutely love the way Rachel and Riley used our outdoor spaces on their wedding day. They had a private moment under the oak tree up front before having their ceremony in front of family and friends across the back meadow. A violinist on the edge of the woods played for the guests as they arrived to choose their seat in the dappled shade. The breeze and the unseasonably cooler temps on this afternoon, made this the perfect spot to witness the couple's vows.
Cocktail were served by al fresco under the pavilion, where people enjoyed delicious apps passed by the lovely .
After dinner many retreated to the patio, where conversation continued under the glow of the string lights. At the end of the light, they ran through an arch of sparklers held high above them before jumping into the back of a very cool car and driving off. It was a great day!

Labor Day weekend, we got to celebrate this fun couple. Their Pittsburgh guests were treated to cooler than normal temps that made it a lovely day to be outside ordering dinner from the food truck.

This weekend we had a very special wedding. The first couple to ever book a wedding with us, in July of last year, had their wedding this weekend. Alyssa and Joey had an amazing family and group of friends that all surrounded them on the dance floor during @billyjoel ‘s Piano Man. It was a moment I will not soon forget. The love in the barn was palatable. Thanks @carolinadjpros for an awesome playlist that night that kept everyone dancing to the end!

I am really digging the extra bit of shade these reed blinds are providing.
