Release trapped emotions and enjoy the gentle energy of Reiki healing in this group session led by Shanyn from SLS Holistics.

In this group healing session, you'll first learn the basics of the Emotion Code method, how do muscle test your "Yes" and "No" and then we'll identify and release trapped emotions to help pave the way for greater emotional freedom and well-being.

That will be followed by a group Reiki healing to promote relaxation, inner harmony, and peace.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat, blankets, or pillows so that you can be as comfortable as possible during the Reiki portion of the session.

Our amazing friend Ioana Voicu is holding a special edition of her focussing group next Wednesday for anyone who is interested! This will be at the Stone Creek Cabin just up the road from us.

"To hold space for people to authentically express the complex and sometimes complicated feelings generated by Huricane Helene's impact on beings and land, our upcoming Focusing Empathy Circle will have a special format. After a brief mindful meditation to ground us into our bodies, participants are encouraged to share what is asking to be spoken and brought to light, but often remains hidden inside for fear of unwelcomed interpretations, reactions, and replies from others. We will use our time equally to go around the circle and authentically share from our heart space. The person sharing will invite someone in the circle to reflect the content, simply saying back the essence of what they heard, then allowing time for any adjustments from the person sharing, until they feel deeply heard and understood. The sharing is an invitation, not requirement, and whoever prefers to remain quiet, may simply say "pass." No comments or interpretations, no approvals or disapprovals, no advise of any kind. Depending on the number of participants, we might go around more than once. We all hold space honoring the speaker with an attitude of presence, openness, and unconditional acceptance. Being able to verbally express the content of our hearts without the fear of being judged or stirring an argument is very healing and freeing. Moreover, being given the time to feel into what we say and into what others perceive, adjust and play with the content until both our words and those spoken by the audience resonate in our bodies as true, promotes authentic inner growth and expansion. THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to our somatic movement dance fundraiser with Zen Within Academy so far! We were able to get almost $800 worth of PPE, cleaning products, first aid kits, and other items needed for those working tirelessly on the clean up effort in WNC. These will be going up the mountain in a few days

It's not too late to donate! We will be switching our focus to other needs as they arise, such as blankets, jackets, generators, propane etc. Come by any time to drop off or donate to the fund on our website homepage brighthavenfarm.com. Together, we make a difference!

We're thrilled to be able to announce that we're partnering with Kimberly Jane Brown to bring supplies directly to small towns in WNC. She and her partner have a 12 foot trailer they can haul to the area. As many of you know, the airports are facing their own limitations with supply distribution and weight limits, so this is a way for us to give directly to those in need and bring in heavier items. This means we can now accept water, gas and cleaning chemicals!

All proceeds from Saturday's dance with Zen Within Academy will go towards the purchase of supplies for this run, and we are open to drop-offs all week even if you won't be attending. We've got a small pile already, but let's fill this trailer up!! Check the comments for a list of the most needed items.

Tomorrow evening-come share and receive with community. While the relief efforts in western NC continue on, we must remember that we can't pour from an empty cup. As we heal ourselves, we heal the collective as well. We hope to see you!

Solsong Sessions Somatic Movement & Ecstatic Dance with Zen Within Academy this weekend has now been converted to a fundraising event. All ticket sales will be used to purchase emergency supplies to aid western NC. We are personally connected to a few pilot friends that are flying angel flights in and out of the area bringing in supplies.
WE ARE ALSO ACCEPTING SUPPLIES ALL WEEK. We are using our barn as a drop off location for supplies. We will take everything to the regional airport after the dance.

Supplies that are currently needed:

Diapers (children and adult)

Sunscreen
Plastic Utensils

It's fall y'all!

October is probably my favorite month of the year, and in accordance with that we have a jam packed schedule full of fall fun! As a huge and scary step in my personal journey, I will be leading my first ceremony on Samhain! I’m excited, nervous and all the feelings in between and I hope you will join me as I step more full out into the world. It is time.

On a lighter note- I’m so excited to announce a new addition to the farm: The Movies Under the Stars Series! We have invested in an outdoor projector and giant inflatable screen to start hosting outdoor movie nights, complete with popcorn and snacks! What better month to start than October, with all the fun Halloween movies!

Join DeeAnn Macomson for an interactive, fully improvised drum and dance experience. We will dance to live drumming, letting the drummers inform our movement. And we will also dance and inform the drummers from the dance movement. Come play and explore with us! Other musical instruments are also welcome. You do not have to be a drummer or dancer to join!

If it’s not too hot we will dance around a fire outside. An air conditioned building is also available depending on the weather.

Drums will be provided but if you have one, bring it!

WOW, what an amazing day we had yesterday on the farm! The morning started with a Sacred Healing Waters Activation led by Rebekah Bernal that was utterly transformational down to the deepest cellular level. I haven't been able to fully put in to words what happened-only that is was pure magic.

In the afternoon, Robbie Warren led her first Crone's Circle. To bear witness to a room full of wise matriarchs- women who are fully embracing their feminine power and ready to support generational growth and knowledge- was just utterly profound for me, especially as a new mother. If you resonate with this and are seeking a group of like-minded crones, the next circle will be on September 15th at 2pm!

And also- doesn't our new rainbow wall look AMAZING!! I love it so much! So much joy and magic happens in this space and it is an honor to steward it.

Come learn about the mysteries and magickal ways of ancient healers we've come to know as Witches with Kendra J Binnings. Unveil the truth of their ways in honoring nature and all living beings of our Mother Earth, as well as their knowledge of herbs, oils and healing brews. In this class we will study, practice and share our own journeys in a safe space. We will learn about incense, oils and brews and what nature has to contribute along our path. We will share and discuss the importance of witchcraft to community as well as to our own solo journey. You do not need to be a witch to join us. The desire to learn and find the truth in what it means is all you need, a curious mind is always welcome.

This past weekend, our community came together once again and started making progress on a tree net! If you've been out to the woods on the farm, then you know we have a grand vision for a big fire circle that can hold drummers and dancers. We wanted to create a "frame" for this area where people can lounge and watch the scene, so a tree net is a perfect addition to the space! We'll even be able to add extra levels, walls and bridges to other platforms depending on how much we grow it out!

We started with a large perimeter rope around three trees, manually adding enough tension to hold it in place. From there, the net was filled in with "skeleton" rope tied with constrictor knots to give a frame for the weave and add even more tension. Then, with funky rainbow paracord, we began the weave part of the net. This is the part that takes the most time! We weaved about 10 sections before calling it quits for the day.

Many many thanks to for leading the charge on this massive project and having lots of patience with all of us while we learned the knots and ties. We're so excited to see it come together!
