Enroll in THEA G110 Acting for the Camera with Amanda Zarr course and learn specialized acting techniques for motion picture and television cameras. Students will participate in on-camera class exercises and improvisations, prepare memorized scenes, and critique acting techniques.
Emphasis will be placed on the audition process for commercials and TV/film techniques, along with understanding the various camera angles, shots, positions, and actor behaviors unique to acting before a camera.

Auditions start tonight! The Golden West College Theater Arts department is holding auditions for Stephen Sondheim’s award-winning Broadway musical A Little Night Music on Wednesday February 21 and Thursday February 22 at Golden West College, Huntington Beach. A Little Night Music is directed and staged by Martie Ramm with musical direction by Rick Heckman. Performance dates are April 26 – May 5, 2024, at Golden West College. All performances are accompanied by a 22-piece live orchestra.Auditions will be held in Stage West at Golden West College, 15751 Gothard Street at Center Avenue, Huntington Beach. Enter the campus from the Gothard Street entrance. Parking is free.All roles are available. Auditions are open to everyone as performers do not have to be enrolled Golden West College students to audition.Rehearsals begin on Monday March 4 and are scheduled for Monday thru Thursday evenings from 7 pm until 10:30 pm. Cast members are called to rehearsals only when needed. If cast in this production, adult actors must enroll in a 2-unit college course. BOEING-BOEING flew for the last time this afternoon. We hope that you enjoyed each one of our seven performances and that you will not forget Bernard, Robert, Bertha, Gabriella, Gloria, and Gretchen. For two consecutive weekends, they lit up the stage with their comedic energy. We thank every single patron for attending, laughing so heartily, and applauding so thunderously. We also thank the local press for supporting our production. Finally, we thank our dedicated backstage crew for allowing our actors to "spread their wings" during every show. What a memorable ride! Don't you agree?
