Not only did Nicola and Brett join their own lives together, they have become a lovely blended family including, Niki's three children and Brett's two sons and his adorable grandson! They had so many friends and family join them to celebrate, including Niki's father, sister and many other family members who came from England as well as Brett's sister and her family from North Carolina.

Some favorites from this past Saturday's wedding. Niki has been a friend for over 20 years and I was so excited to capture her special day as she joined her best friend Brett in marriage. I wish them both nothing but profound happiness for the rest of their days.

I’m just realizing I never posted photos from this engagement session! It was shortly after returning from 2 weeks in Ireland and I was super overwhelmed. I’m so sorry Lauren and Marlon! On this session, we hit downtown Milwaukee on the riverfront, followed by heading to the lake and a view of the skyline and ended at the bar these two had their first date. We had lots of laughs, some dancing, and I even got Lauren out on the rocks without killing herself! I can’t wait for their April wedding!

Doing some wedding editing and started getting the shakes so bad! Then I realized it’s 4 o’clock and I’ve yet to eat anything. When I get in an editing zone I tend not to move for several hours. Oops. 😬 Pretzel crisps and port wine cheese to the rescue!

I think surprise engagement sessions are my new favorite thing. The adrenaline rush of getting there in time, finding a spot without being conspicuous, the sheer joy and happiness in the moment. Bring a couple of adorable dogs too and I’m in heaven. Congratulations Brandon and Maria. Best wishes for a happy and beautiful life together!

Today marks the final day for the reigning Miss Huntley and Miss LITH. I hope they both enjoy their final walk on the stage before passing the crown. I wish I could be in two places at once but you will be in amazing hands with Jamie Christine Photos I can't wait to see who the new queens will be!

My favorite part of taking the Miss Huntley and Miss LITH queens out for their photo shoot is when we come across little girls in the square. They are just in awe of these sweet, beautiful ladies. We always take time out of our session to say hi and take a picture. Who know. Maybe they will be in the pageant themselves someday!

This sweet couple came back home to Illinois for a long weekend and I had the privilege of taking their engagement photos. I’ve known them both for many years and I couldn’t be happier for them and to watch them grow in their lives and love. They’re a match made in heaven. I love you both so much and I cannot wait to watch your life together unfold.

Congratulations to recent Huntley High School grad, Griffin! I've known this sweet young man since he was about 5 and has always been a willing model for me. I was able to nab him for a few minutes in between baseball games and school to do a quick session. I can't wait to see what's next for you Grif!

It’s been a bit quiet around here, I know! My husband and I just got home from our belated 25th anniversary trip to Ireland. We put it off a couple years due to Covid shut downs but finally did it. It was an amazing 9 days but now I’m playing catch up! Lots of posting coming soon.

Maddie lucked out and we managed to get one more day of snow! She recently committed to Montana State as an Engineering major but she is also a big snowboarder so she will get the best of both worlds at her chosen university. Can't wait to see how high she can fly!
