A fun, sweet, romantic surprise proposal this past week. I’m so happy for Mike and Erica as they start this new chapter of their relationship! And as always, Chicago was showing out for our photos. The rain/drizzle had stopped, the temps weren’t too cold and even the fog lifted enough for see the Ferris wheel. Everything was working for us. ❤️

Capturing a moment of pure magic! ✨📸 Last night I had the incredible honor of photographing a surprise proposal. It was a moment full of love and emotion. Watching the joy on their faces as she said "yes" is why I do what I do. Here's to forever! 💍

Nothing makes me happier than a surprise engagement and Eric did it really well. He rented out the top floor of and had a special peanut butter and Nutella sandwich made for them. This was the sandwich that first got them talking in high school! We had a little time for some photos before their family and friends showed up to celebrate too. Congratulations Eric and Kristy! 💍

It has come to my attention that this sweet couple is exactly one year away from their wedding today! I’ve known Riley and Dylan since the very beginning of their relationship. Who knew back in 8th grade that these two would make it through high school and college, all the way to engaged. I’m so happy for them and the future they have in store.

I’m just realizing I never posted photos from this engagement session! It was shortly after returning from 2 weeks in Ireland and I was super overwhelmed. I’m so sorry Lauren and Marlon! On this session, we hit downtown Milwaukee on the riverfront, followed by heading to the lake and a view of the skyline and ended at the bar these two had their first date. We had lots of laughs, some dancing, and I even got Lauren out on the rocks without killing herself! I can’t wait for their April wedding!

Doing some wedding editing and started getting the shakes so bad! Then I realized it’s 4 o’clock and I’ve yet to eat anything. When I get in an editing zone I tend not to move for several hours. Oops. 😬 Pretzel crisps and port wine cheese to the rescue!

I think surprise engagement sessions are my new favorite thing. The adrenaline rush of getting there in time, finding a spot without being conspicuous, the sheer joy and happiness in the moment. Bring a couple of adorable dogs too and I’m in heaven. Congratulations Brandon and Maria. Best wishes for a happy and beautiful life together!
