This event is open to the public both days, come join us for some fun!

As always we thank the Dry Creek Saloon & Casino and KD's Katering for keeping us hydrated and the delicious food, they will be there to support us and celebrate our finals!

Saturday, February 17, buckles will be awarded to accumulated high point:
Ranch Sorting Open
Ranch Sorting Pro Am
Ranch Sorting Am Beg
Ranch Sorting 50 & Over

Classes will include Open, Pro/Am, Am/Beg, 50 & Over, Dash For Cash and Youth.

Feel free to go check out the pinned post at the top of our page to see those current standings. You MUST be present to be awarded a buckle.
As always, we will be paying out 50%.

Sunday, February 18th, 3 buckles will be awarded to the fastest qualified team, this will be opened to the public in a jackpot type situation as soon as we get through our finals with the 15 qualified teams.

Indoor Stalls are available per request.

We had a great time out at Creekside Ranch today! Thank you to everyone for the turnout! Made some new friends too! We will be doing this once a month, so in March it will be the 3rd Saturday the 18th. So mark it down in your books and give us a call, text or email to set up your time slot. Bonus discount for 3 or more horses!

Looking forward to seeing everyone next month!

**UPDATE** Don't forget tomorrow is the big day starting at 10am to get your horses worked on! We all need a little massage therapy after our weather this week, and our precious horses are no different. If you want a slot please message our page or call Kenneth Mintling to set it up!

Happy pre Super Bowl Sunday! We know you need to get your horses cared for as the season warms up. We have a special event to help you do that next Saturday (2/18/23) at Creekside Ranch in Huntley. Kenneth will be there all day to help get your horses feeling better. It's easy to haul into Creekside which is close to Billings.

If you can call ahead to schedule a time, or show up and squeeze in between other appointments, that's ok! We'd love to see you at this beautiful facility, and help you get your horse to feeling better!!!

If you can't make it next Saturday and need another day or time, we'd love to talk with you, and schedule a time that does work for you and your schedule.

Don't forget a healthy, happy horse, makes for a great ride!

Creekside Horse Day - Saturday July 23!

When great people get together, great things for the community can happen!
Neighbors Michael and Caroline Brito, Kasey Felders ("Hesper Hustlers"), Gina Loose (Yellowstone County 4 H) and Edee Weigel (Show Jumper champion) put together a fun day for everyone under 18 to bring their own horse, play - have fun - maybe learn something new!
Families and friends invited to be a part of it and help or just enjoy watching.

Rocky Mountain Horsemanship Clinic.

Since we had such a great success with bringing Joe Turner here last year, we will give this another go!

Improve your horsemanship skills in an open clinic:

Advanced or beginner horsemanship,
Horse psychology and communication,
Structural analysis,
Problem horses.

Joe's lessons will depend on the people participating. Common goals and/or individual wishes will be worked on. Flexible lesson plans.

June 4th and 5th, 2022
June 11th and 12th, 2022

Join us for 1 or 2 weekends, or just for a day.

$ 400 per rider for a 2 day clinic (horse and rider) includes Meet and Greet Session with lectures and theory on Friday evening prior to day 1.
$ 250/day
4 riders minimum, 12 riders maximum.

Stalls and overnight accommodations at the ranch and/or nearby possible.
No hookups for trailers with living quarters.

50% nonrefundable deposit from each rider by registration deadline (2 weeks prior to clinic date)

Not a joke...

Have you ever wondered why you can have a 15 acre field and part of it is chewed down to nubs and the other part has grass a hand high, But your horse is constantly grazing in the chewed down part?

Grass 6 inches and taller has less sugars than grass under 6 inches.

For every inch drop below 6 inches, the fructan (sugar) content rises.

Grass under 6 inches is stressed like it's a Monday morning with a project deadline. It uses sugar to repair itself.

Stop mowing your fields short.

Stop grazing your chubbys on chewed down grass. (this is why grazing muzzles are so touted...they keep the horse from being able to get much short grass)

(We aren't saying let your fields be 3 feet tall, by the way. The optimal thing to do is keep them 6-8 inches tall and graze them in small areas there)
