Hi friends! We are going to start off 2025 with a little introduction…

I’m Audrey! I’m the Founder & Lead Planner at Millie James Weddings. Some fun facts about me:

✨ Serving others brings me joy and is at the heart of what I do! I love to host and make people feel special by planning things from play dates to family dinners and yes, weddings!

✨ My husband, Reed, and I celebrated 5 years of marriage this year! We enjoy going hunting and fishing together and I set the record for the biggest buck (Sorry, babe…)

✨ Our babies, Tucker (3) and Millie (2), are my world. Tucker is calm and tender-hearted and Millie is my little firecracker!

✨ I graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Go bulldogs!

✨ I was a Kindergarten and 1st Grade teacher before deciding to become a SAHM and a wedding planner!

✨ I secretly want to be a homesteader and enjoy learning new skills! I love gardening, raising chickens, baking bread, knitting and embroidery (I got a sewing machine for Christmas and hope to pick up quilting soon!), and more! My dream is to run a mini-farm when I grow up!

✨ You can’t bring me inside during the summer. I will stay out all day with my kiddos!

✨ The lake is my happy place.

✨ I love 90s country music.

✨ Sweet Home Alabama is my all time favorite movie.

We are excited to get to know our couples more and become a small part of their love story!

An unforgettable day celebrating Audrey + Camden!

From our first consultation together, Audrey said she wanted her wedding day to feel “warm and welcoming”… We turned a big, empty space into an intimate, candlelit dinner that made all of their guests feel cozy and right at home. The thoughtful details made this wedding one to remember from the warm color palette and natural textures to the feather accents in the place settings and lighting installations.

It’s always hard helping our couples into their getaways cars at the end of the night after spending so much time preparing for wedding day together, but in the same breathe, we are overjoyed to finally send them off into married life! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Gaw!!! 🤎

Maria + James’ wedding was an unforgettable day at Burritt on the Mountain! We battled hurricane winds and rain all day, but the clouds parted for the briefest of moments for a sweet, at times, humorous, and beautifully dramatic ceremony. Waiting until the last possible second to make a weather call and soaking up as much water off the chairs as we could while it was drizzling was all worth it to try to make their dream wedding come true. Maria referred to her wedding day as her “Pride & Prejudice moment” and I think I’m going to start calling it that when it rains on wedding day because who doesn’t love that scene? Congratulations to The Copelands—May your marriage be full of good luck!!!
