🌟BIG NEWS🌟

We started this company in 2017. One of us was fresh out of Texas A&M and the other knew she didn’t need a degree to be a creative genius. Neither of us could find an entry level job that didn’t require 5 years experience… go figure 🙄…so we branched out and made our own. We had 5 AMAZING years in the wedding industry with 2020 being one of our best years (Go God!). We loved every minute of it. We loved being trusted with a couples special day. We loved getting to see the groom’s face when the bride walked down the aisle. We loved watching the bride light up as she saw her wedding visions become reality. We truly got to experience some incredible moments in people’s lives.

We then branched out and decided to open our little bakery, Two Blondes & A Bakery. We were quickly wrapped up in it and had zero time for anything else. All of a sudden balancing two businesses with two people became too much. We were missing out on time with our families. Gone every weekend. And honestly, experiencing burn out in the worst kind of way. The two things we loved the most were robbing us of our joy and we didn’t want our bitterness to rub off on anyone’s big day. We finished out our obligations and decided to close the doors on Let Us. Not long after I, Lexie lost both of my grandparents. In dealing with my grieving I began to resent the wedding planning company. I blamed it for stealing the last 4 years of my time with my grandparents. I blamed myself for putting my career first and missing out on time with them. I wanted nothing to do with Let Us. We had a number of people ask us could we do a wedding for their friend, or would we consider reopening, and the answer was just no. A cold. Bitter. No.

In 2023, at what we thought was good timing, we decided to give it another go and hire some assistant planners to use our templates, notes, and methods to plan weddings while we assisted from the side. However, when you put something in God’s hands and quickly sn**ch it back out … it tends to fall apart. And it did. We tried to move in our timing. Not his. That idea soon fizzled out and we were left with some cute photos and a bit of embarrassment.

In May of 2023 I got married! After planning everyone else’s big days … Taylor and I brought my wedding vision to life and man was it fun to be back in the action! Jacob and I had an amazing wedding. He wanted a party. I wanted pink. And that’s exactly what we got. Taylor made sure every decor idea I had came to life and designed some of the cutest signs and backdrops … and YES! She can do the same for your wedding 😉 more on that later. The bakery was thriving. We had a food trailer. We were fully staffed. Things were good (and still are so please don’t think the bakery is about to crash and burn. Cause it’s not 😂) a little part of me missed out on the wedding planning action and Taylor discovered her creative talents had gone to the next level.

Fast forward to today. We have our DREAM bakery. It’s seriously the cutest thing ever and we love it. It keeps us busy! We have slightly developed a healthy work/life balance (but please don’t confirm that during peak seasons or holidays) and we are happy. We have amazing men, amazing family, and an incredible team at TBB! If the bakery has taught us anything it’s that no matter what… you still have to find the joy in what you love to do. The minute a hobby becomes a hassle every flame dies out. The minute it switches from “I want to” to “I have to” it’s not fun anymore. The minute your passion is gone… your purpose finds a way to leave too. The bakery has taught us how to teach, delegate, manage our time(sort of), and line out our priorities. The bakery is our heart and soul. It’s the thing that holds all the blood, sweat, and tears. It’s our passion.

That being said … wedding planning is no longer our only source of income. It’s not a “have to” anymore. It’s back to “I want to”. We are so excited to announce that we are now taking DAY OF COORDINATION weddings. Taylor also has a ton of super cute wedding signs, bar signs, and backdrops that’s she’s added to our inventory. She can make custom invites, save the dates, place-cards, menus, and anything else you might need. We are excited to be back in the industry because it’s something we LOVE 💕

Taylor & I (Lexie) were born and raised in Huntsville, Tx. Neither of us were willing to leave the town we’ve always called home. We’ve been best friends since the 6th Grade and upon graduating college, decided to start a company doing something we love. They say, if you do what you love you’ll never work a day in your life.

Taylor and I have a passion for putting smiles on peoples faces. I love to handle the logistics and work out all the little details while Taylor has her fun being creative. We give God all the all the glory for entrusting us with this company. We hope we can continue to put smiles on faces and help others chase their dreams.
