SCOUTED!!!
I’m so thankful for the opportunity to have another out in the world and to be among the pages of the talents and professionals of Huntsville! I have copies of the new guide in my studio, and you should start seeing them around town! I can’t wait for you to see the whole thing in its entirety! As per usual, I’ll over-explain (lol) the reasons behind my spread! At the beginning of the entire process, I create a mood board to share with members that showcase posing, color stories, and unique elements I would love to capture in the guide. As folks complete their photoshoots and choose their images, I began to see how everything will come together. Since I save myself for last, it’s a chance for me to “fill in any gaps” of that initial mood board. 🩵
One element I knew I wanted to use was a prism! Since the cover colors had been selected, initially my idea was to play off that - wear a teal dress and stand among the yellow flowers that bloom behind my studio at ! While I adore a couple of images that came from that day (shared in the carousel above), the black and white image that was chosen for the spread was actually an outtake! However, when I sent all the images to design for a spread mockup, the black and white one stood out the best to work with! convinced me to go with it because of my smile, the designer said it was one of the most unique images she’s ever seen, and the prism was more prominent than in the colored images...so voila! 📷
It’s so awesome watching all these spreads come to life with the design elements! It’s such a wild process going from the whirlwind of photoshoots to the calm of awaiting the printing process to the celebration and launch of a new volume! Soon it’ll be time to compile some ideas together for volume 8...however, right now, I’m soaking in the excitement of V7 making its grand (and bright) entrance! Cheers Huntsville! 🥂
