How is it already April?! Time is flying, but moments like these remind me to slow down and soak it all in. One thing I always make time for in my sessions, even the minis is play. Watching families laugh and just be together is my favorite part of what I do. 💖

Missing my Southern Utah clients a little extra today 🥹 Last year was the first time since moving that I didn’t make it back for sessions, and I really felt it. While I love my island home, I miss the changing seasons and the incredible relationships I built over seven years of photographing weddings and families there. The timing just didn’t work out last year 😓 but as I look ahead, I’m hoping to make it happen again in 2025 🫶 Southern Utah in the fall is always calling my name!

Sometimes, the best location is right where your life is happening. ❤️ Don’t get me wrong, I love the stunning scenery of Hawai‘i. But capturing this new family in the space where their love and routines are unfolding was pure magic.

Even more meaningful, this was for one of my dear friends. Photographing them in the very place where this baby was wished for, where they grew, and where so many quiet moments were spent waiting for them to arrive made it all the more special. You don’t need the fanciest house, what matters is remembering where you were when your family began. The love, the anticipation, the small everyday moments, those are the things that truly make a home.

This was one of my favorite sessions of last year, made even sweeter by the quiet magic of the season. Love, in its simplest and most beautiful form, right where it belongs. ✨

I almost rescheduled this session because of the weather, but I’m so glad I didn’t! One minute, the sky was overcast; the next, golden light spilled through the clouds. We had everything soft pastels, deep warmth, some sprinkling and even a little rainbow magic. ✨🌈 Grateful for the beauty that comes with a little unpredictability.
