Woo! This was fast-paced fun! We painted 61 faces at the Spread the Light event in DCI Park this Saturday which averaged out to a completed face paint every two minutes. Super proud of Claire and her hard work too.

We painted on as the sun set with the help of a great lamp to light up the area and a space heater to keep our hands warm as we painted. Thank you United Way of Reno County for having us at this special event and supplying these items.

I love face painting and seeing the smiles. Happy holidays, everyone!

Spreading cheer, one light at a time! Hutchinson’s local non-profits came together to bring the magic of the season to life at Spread The Light Holiday Park! Families enjoyed festive activities, a LIVE hula performance, and countless photo ops that lit up smiles — all leading up to the spectacular Light Up Hutch Christmas Parade!

Painted a Hutchinson hamburger at third Thursday Arts and eats. It was a nice night. The weather was perfect and visiting with friends was even better.

At Red, White, & Brews painting patriotic designs! Face paints are free. We are at the fairgrounds in the air-conditioning at Charlie's wine & beer garden. I call this design "Warning, spinning firework emits shooting sparks!"

Phew! I've been busy! Finally posting some pictures from the art fair. C and I had a lot of fun, learned a few things, and got warmed up for the season. My painting in the morning felt awkward and rusty, but by the afternoon it was much smoother. By far, the most popular paint design was the spring flowers.

Oh WOW! I have an exciting opportunity for a few teen friends to make some spending money while having fun and showing off their talent. I will be painting faces at this year's Hutchinson PRIDE!!! It's a large event and I would like some help painting as many faces as possible. If you have a teen (14 years and older) who can draw or paint, message me if your teen is interested, and I'll give you the details. Potential to earn $50/hour.

Adult friends who are interested can help too and make a few zeros, but priority is going to be given to the teens. I am considering a cashier position or two for adults. $20/hour for cashier help.

For painters, I will require an interview with a painting skills test.

For painters who are selected, I will provide some training in face painting techniques and the intake process as well as paints and brushes.
