The ongoing construction around our community is affecting us all differently. Residents face increased traffic, school transportation routes might need adjustments, and businesses have seen a decline in foot traffic due to misleading "local traffic only" signs. As a resident, I know I can get home without a problem, but as a business owner, it's frustrating to see people turn away because they think they can't reach us.
Recently, some of us started spreading the word that we are still open, and you responded with incredible support. While I can't speak for all business owners, I know we're deeply grateful to live and work in a community that rallies around its local businesses. We strive to support local teams, fundraisers, schools, and more, and it's heartwarming to see our friends and neighbors do the same for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

The Parlour
My heart is hurting for our families in Northwest Iowa. My sweet sister in laws store in Rock Valley is under water and other family members have lost their home and belongings. All are safe but there are no words for the difficult days ahead.
Our hearts are heavy this morning as our small town has been devastated by heavy flooding. Half of our town has been evacuated and many will have total losses of their homes. We don’t quite know what the state of our store is, but we will assess that when we can. As for now our doors will remain shut.
Help us honor our local military men and women who are serving our Country!
As the 4th of July approaches, many of us look forward to celebrating with family and friends. Parades, backyard BBQs, games, rides, fireworks, and sparklers fill our "day off" with joy and excitement. But have you ever paused to reflect on the true significance of this holiday?
