Stuck and Stuck Again: A short monologue about winter.
You know those mornings, when there is a lot of snow on the road but you need to be somewhere and have to use a car to get there?
So then you drive down the street but get stuck at the end of the neighborhood because you have to wait for oncoming traffic?
And then you give a little “no it’s okay, go ahead” to the school bus full of anxious children so they don’t just sit behind you and laugh.
And then like, a cool high school kids in a beefy trucks jumps out of his car and helps push you out while you sit in the warm car and wiggle the wheel?
(I mean it sounds like the easier job but just as important, if not more. I mean a car isn’t going to move if someone is pushing the gas, am I right? 😆)
Aaaaand then you shout and wave “thank you” awkwardly a few times to make sure he feels the gratitude as you pull up again to the end of the neighbor and wait for the oncoming traffic…. I think you can see where this is going.
Stuck and Stuck Again.
And then the same high school boy, plus anther nice dude, run to your car and help for round two of pushing the car out.
But this time, they wait for open traffic and you really commit to your wheel wiggling and gas peddling and go for it.
And you are now unstuck.
You know those mornings? Me too.
