Never a dull moment in my life. Which means the last 40 years of wedding anniversaries have been adventurous and this one did not disappoint. This is just a matter of a two day description, but it’s gonna be long because there’s some funny stuff that happened and I know that you will all want to know. We left St. Louis not knowing if we would find a delay along the way as they were calling for bad weather in the New Hampshire area. The flight went perfect no weather delay getting to New Hampshire. so we figured we escaped any bad weather. So we head out to find our hotel because KENNY pretty much thought he knew where it was . When we came down Main Street in Concord, all the streets were blocked off as they were having a market party in the main street. So eventually we were getting too far away from where the GPS was taking us. We called the lady at the hotel and she guided us back down to a street that we could take and then take another street that brought us on the backside of the hotel . She started giving him all these directions. when we got to the parking garage Kenny said to the lady
“oh man when I get there, I’ll have to call you back because I didn’t hear a thing you said”! So we get into the parking deck and she tells him to park on level four and we will be able to walk right into the hotel. The top parking deck was level four with no roof and at the top and pretty much empty and we’re walking around in the cold with drizzly rain looking for a way to get into this hotel. She finally said
“I will come get you”. There are three doors on the backside none of which enter a hotel. Finally she comes out a door and takes us down two flights of stairs to the lobby of the hotel. We get all checked in this beautiful hotel and everything, we go out have some lobster and had a wonderful time. Sunday morning we go to the track to get ready for Kenny’s show which turned out to be fabulous and I was able to meet up and visit with some of our fan club members, and that was a highlight for me. We left the track and headed for the airport to return home and be home by midnight tonight. After a couple delays, they finally canceled our flight. No big deal. I didn’t mind staying here another night and we were together so who cares. We don’t have a rental car because we had already turned it back in so we take a taxi to a hotel Nearby the airport. We got in saw a few sketchy things and decided OK. We can deal with it for one night. Let’s go get something to eat so as we walk outside and head down the road we notice a really nice hotel just a hop skip and a jump from the first hotel, and that’s where we decided to eat. The more we walk towards the hotel we decided that he was going to go back and pick up our luggage and bring it down to this nice hotel and get a room. So we were in room 317 at the first hotel and he comes back down with our luggage and as we’re walking in I said what room do we need to go to and he says room 317 and I said did you get the wrong key and he said oh God I was throwing everything together to get it all, I hope I got the right key so he asked the guy at the desk is this the key you just gave me and he said yes so how weird is that? We had the same room number in both hotels. So the whole time we were eating dinner all of these people stay at the airport to rebook their flights when in fact, we got a message saying they had rebooked us so we just left the airport. Well they took all of the seats on the plane so now we’re not flying through Charlotte to home. we are now flying through Washington DC home and it’s much later in the day. So we just kept laughing and laughing and laughing because every time we turned around like every few minutes, they were adding a new flight so needless to say 930 tomorrow evening we should be back in St. Louis hopefully. So then our waitress brings us over a little diner cap so we thought we’ll just have a little fun and we’ll both try it on. so we had fun with all the confusion. another memorable anniversary for us so for us in New Hampshire.
