On this night...23 years ago, 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning tomorrow. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 10:00 am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same.

As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.

So now for the cute, cuddly and fun side of the visit to the zoo yesterday. The Meerkats and red pandas are always so fun to watch at the zoo. All the animals were very active too.

One thing you can always count on in the mountains is the changing colors in the sunsets and sunrises. Sunset was from Friday night and the sunrise was the next morning .

Took this from Mt Adams yesterday morning. Started as a series of 16 3 image bracketed images for a total of 48 individual images. Each of the 3 bracketed images was merged into 1 HDR image and then the remaining 16 images were stitched together into a really big and detailed image. Anyone need a reall big pic for their house. Let me know and we can work out a deal to have this printed.

So got probably one of the coolest gifts ever yesterday from Gill Lane-Love… An old camera converter into a planter filled with basil. A great combination of my favorite past times, photography and cooking. Such a pleasant surprise when Beth and I stopped by for a quick visit.
