Mystery Café started this unique style of dinner theatre in 1990 in Boston. Since then we have entertained over a million people in 30 cities across the US. A Murder Mystery Comedy Dinner Theater show involves two entertainers who play multiple major characters as well as volunteers from the audience who play the minor characters to act out a murder mystery story. Each play unfolds in four acts, w

ith one course of the meal served after each act. Members of the audience may participate as much (or as little) as they like in the mystery. Upon arrival, you'll be met at the door by the evening’s characters, who will help you find your seats and unveil your new identity. The magic lies in the interaction and unbridled creativity that occurs in a room full of people who began the evening as strangers, but go home as friends. In 1992, I returned from my tour with Circus Fusco as a clown. I became the Producer of the Mystery Cafe, and the next time the circus called, I had to turn them down. The Plot

Mystery Café started this unique style of dinner theater in 1990 in Boston. Since then we have entertained over a million people in 30 cities across the US. A Murder Mystery Comedy Dinner Theater show that is a comedy. It is a spoof off of modern culture. Every story we do is about a fictional group of people present for some reason or other when murder interrupts their proceedings. We have two entertainers who play multiple major characters in the story. Volunteers from the audience will play the minor characters in the murder mystery story. All you must do is stand up and read your cue card. However, we encourage you to get into the part and ham it up. This is not a Shakespeare play. It is a party where you pretend, play, laugh and have a good time. Members of the audience may participate as much (or as little) as they like in the mystery.

Each play unfolds in four acts, with one course of the meal served after each act. The show’s location is the Library Restaurant & Pub. So, you will be enjoying a meal from one of Indianapolis’s top steakhouse. We take over one of their dining rooms. So, while the regular diners will be enjoying a calm, nice dinner. We will be laughing and playing while eating ours. Upon arrival, you'll be met at the door by the evening’s characters, who will help you find your seats and unveil your new identity. The magic lies in the interaction and unbridled creativity that occurs in a room full of people who began the evening as strangers, but go home as friends. We are set up to do private shows for companies and groups. We can pick up the show and travel to a location of your choosing. We have gone as far north as Michigan, west to Illinois, east to Richmond and south to Bloomington.
