What a fun day hosting this bachelorette party! I have done a lot less events this summer and was reminded of how much flowers and nature can bring people together. I especially enjoyed hosting this group, the bride to be is the daughter of a childhood family friend ❤️💐.

For everything, there is a season and for me this season has not been about growing flowers. Along with some changes in my primary career this year, these two kids are keeping us busy with baseball and basketball. As much as I enjoy growing flowers, I’m trying to recognize that in the scheme of life this is a short season with our kids and I want to be present for it. Even if that means sweating at baseball games or sitting in a gym instead of cutting flowers! Stay tuned, there are some flowers planted and I’m hopeful for some pop up events late summer but still to be determined!

It feels like mile 24 of a marathon. The flowers are still hanging on but looking rough. Falling over, no longer in tidy rows, a little dry, but still producing!! So I keep cutting and trying to finish strong but sort of dreaming of November 😂

I may have just offended my husband when I said I want to renew our vows in August some day and make my own bouquet! Yes our anniversary is in May 🤷‍♀️. This marriage of summer and fall flower colors is my favorite though.…and of course him too!!

I had so much fun (and minor glue stress!)making prom corsages and boutonnières! These teens picked out beautiful dresses and suits and I got to choose fun ribbons and flowers to accessorize! They were all so appreciative and great to work with. My niece even trusted me to try my first dried flower design. Hope you all had a fun night!

Mothers Day is quickly approaching! I’m taking preorders for arrangements until Wed 5/4. Pick up will be Friday 5/6 at my house (flexible on times) or even better Saturday 5/7 at Skin Renew on Southport Rd 9 am to 3 pm.
