The more green spaces that exist in cities, the less likely its residents are to suffer from certain mental health issues.

According to Active Living Research at UC San Diego, Physician-diagnosed depression was 33 percent higher in the residential areas with the fewest green spaces, compared to the neighborhoods with the most.

Because of the importance of green spaces to the community, Indy Parks continues to expand and find more ways to utilize existing green spaces. Little Buck Creek Trail (pictured below), is currently a 1 mile trail between Mann Rd. and Bluff Rd. but once complete, it will span 3 miles.
