To all my clients eagerly & patiently awaiting for their content, here is an update.
The two programs we use most frequently on our Powerhouse iMac desktop our Lightroom Classic & Final Cut Pro X. Ones for our photo work & the other our video editing. We’ve basically been battling the programs, subscriptions, hard drives, SD cards, and everything in between to figure out why we have been able to use these programs.
I have personally been sitting at my computer running diagnostics for three plus weeks, reading forums, calling tech support, and various things without any results like what-so-ever. I’ve never been more frustrated in my life to tell you the truth. I even had my hard drives cleaned & that wasn’t the issue. Everything else on this computer functions properly without hiccup, just these two programs I desperately need to work will not budge.
What’s even more strange is I even dumped out all the internal storage on my computer and these programs SIMPLY REFUSE to function what-so-ever even after deleting & reinstalling, cleaning, following Reddit article procedures to fix slow downs.
I’ve simply had enough. I’ve never ran into a more troubling issue in my life & with all our backed up editing I’ve decided to take this computer in to be wiped! HOWEVER, I will be purchasing a new super computer to operate from so I can get caught up & get the content out to you all.
Hopefully the wipe will fix WHATEVER is wrong with this current iMac computer which isn’t even old and cost over 5K when I bought it, but I just can’t keep spending hours not getting work done anymore. Some people speculate online that when Apple updated to Monterey all these apps stopped working but that was back in late Oct so I don’t know.
I’ve purchased a new model but it wont be here until late March this year since it’s custom and has all the super components to it. It’s a big expense I really didn’t want to spend but I have no other choice here. Sorry for the delays which have been more abundant than ever in 5+ years of doing this.
On behalf of all of us at NWP, we are sorry but we promise we are NOT going to let this big confusing issue stop us!
Thank you!
