AbbeyGail Thiesing Neeley and I had a great weekend in Chicago for Midwest Grotto Association Convention. I’m selling the pocket chips for $20 a set or single chips for $5 each, the proceeds will be to help offset the cost of the convention in Indianapolis next year. Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm. That’s a mouthful, right? It’s also known as “The Grotto.” What exactly is it?
The Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm, whose subordinate bodies are The Grottoes, is an organization by and for Master Masons founded in 1890. While not connected with Masonry proper, its membership is restricted absolutely and exclusively to Master Masons in good standing. Although it is primarily an organization for good wholesome fun and frolic, it also has its serious side. Its slogan is GOOD FELLOWSHIP, and in contact with our fellowman, this principle is exemplified to a marked degree. I know, another social club, right? Yes but no. Through its humanitarian foundation, The Grottoes International is involved in charitable activities directed toward children with special needs and focused on dentistry. Amazing stuff, right. I’m lucky to be surrounded by great people. My home York Rite Mooresville York Rite thought enough of me to gift this too me.
