Do you see it? Do you hear it?

Confidence is evident! Look around! A smile, holding your head high, walking tall (or struttin' ha!) and a hearty laugh are sure signs of a confident person! When I am around my friend De, I always leave her feeling more confident than I did before our session!

My friend is also very determined! She put in the hours at the gym, the time in the kitchen and it shows! When she showed up to our session in that colorful dress she was BEAMING! And why wouldn't you be? Have you seen her arms!? Have you seen her gorgeous smile? And, to top it off, she decided to shave her head! OF COURSE, we had to do a photo shoot! STUNNING!

De - You amaze me! Truly! As my Daddy says, you have grit! True, honest, rubber-meets-the-road GRIT! I am so very proud of all of your hard work and even more thankful you asked me to photograph this 'new you!' You are FIERCE and FABULOUS!

I saw this online the other day and thought it was cute...

'Hey Mister....take care of my Sister!'

It may be a cute-sy saying but I definitely mean it and I believe Jason will definitely take care of our Allie!

On May 18th my sister married her college sweetheart! And, even though I don't photograph weddings any longer, I was happy to dust off my 'wedding self' and capture their day for them!

I Corinthians 13:13 'And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.'

Definitely DETERMINED!

You can't look at these images in the slide show link below and not think the same thing! You just can't! Thomas is one determined young man and just sit back and watch what he will accomplish! BSHS was blessed to have him and Charleston Southern has no clue what an amazing asset he will be!

Thomas! Congratulations on your graduation from High School! Now go tackle the rest of your life the way you have been determined to tackle it so far!

Life is filled with 'benchmark moments'. You know the ones I am talking about. These are those types of moments we can identify as life 'before' and 'after' this particular time. And one of those moments for my friend Bella is 'the year I turned 16.'

Milestone moments help us appreciate where we've been, where we are now and the excitement of what is to come! Happy Sweet 16, Bella! Watching you mature over the years is such a sweet blessing to me!

My word for Miss Hattie? She is READY! Nothing about this amazing young lady leads me to anything else! She is confident, smart, full of anticipation of what's ahead but smart enough to make sure she is 'present' for these last few days of her High School career!

Blue eyes for days! I love this family and I love how there are blue eyes between them all! I see similar smiles, awesome personalities but the eyes do me in every.single.time!

The Hines family is one of my top families to ever spend time with. They are genuine, fun and simply just a joy to be around! Any opportunity I can get to be photograph their growing family is time well spent!

Don't get too emotional; don't be too over protective; don't worry!

You can find numerous articles or blog posts about 'the right way to send your child off to college' in hopes you, as the parent, do it right. Yet, isn't that what we as parents have been wondering all of these 18 years? Are we doing this right?

Thankfully, my friend Andrew has awesome parents and I can safely say the answer to that question is 'YES'! Andrew is smart and confident and ready to head to College of Charleston in the fall! He is definitely ready and the only question is....is Charleston ready for him?

So what is it about Emma that is so endearing? Her beautiful brown eyes are a sure bet but her heart makes her one of a kind!

Emma will graduate in a few weeks. She will have a great summer and then head to college in the fall! She is one of my girls in my Bible Study and I will miss her sweet smile, hugs and giggles! I have been Emma's small group leader since she was in the 8th grade! In the beginning, she was shy and quiet. Today, she is a confident, funny and can hold her own in any conversation! She has grown so much! One might say, she is in her Golden Era!

Different seasons of life are inevitable. How we handle those seasons is up to us. I can assure you, my 'Senior Word' for sweet Hannah is chosen intentionally because I have no doubt she is more than capable to handle whatever season comes her way!

Hannah is dedicated, loyal, smart, funny and yes....capable. She has a precious heart and soul. She is genuine and just one of the best young ladies around. Photographing her in this season of her life is one of my greatest honors!

The first session I ever had with the Reeves family was when Nikole was pregnant with Levi. The day's weather promised triple digits so we shot at 7am to avoid the heat! And Nikole and Justin have trusted me ever since!

Oh how I love this family! Knowing they choose me to photograph their family after all of this time means the world to me! And what fun it is to see how these kids grow so quickly!

I find one word to describe the Seniors I photograph. Do you know how difficult this is? One word to describe adorable personalities, larger than life laughs and hearts of gold?

Well, the word to describe my friend Rachel is 'dynamic.' She doesn't do 'less than' in anything she does. She always gives 110% and she is simply dynamic! I have enjoyed watching Rachel grow into a precious young woman and mark my words...she will change the world! How could someone so dynamic NOT change the world?

Love you Rach! Keep being you! Keep giving 110%! Love you sweet sister!
