What most people get wrong about engagement sessions is the mindset.
Thinking of it as an opportunity to get great photos, or to use to announce the wedding.

It absolutely does provide those things but, really it’s all about connection and comfort.

Building that comfortability and trust with your photographer before the wedding weekend is paramount. A sense of ease can definitely be earned through conversations but, for me, nothing beats the opportunity to see first hand how a couple interacts with each other. What makes them laugh, how they act with each other when there’s an audience, the little mannerisms they have that show affection.

Knowing all that on the wedding day allows me to better capture it all and tell the full story based around them.
