This is my beautiful chonk named Zoop. He had an unfortunate test result today at the vet. I'm praying that it's not the worst-case scenario, but you never know with these sorts of things.

Zoop loves alternative treatments. He's had acupuncture, massage, and sound healing.

He just purrs and purrs and happily accepts treatments.

He's the best boy and I love him so much.

All prayers and love are welcome.

Welcome to my magical space. My office, aka The Cozy Room.

I consider this to be my main working altar on my property. It's a place where I prepare rituals, honor the dead, create spells, practice divination, and perform healing ceremonies.

Having this sacred space has taken almost a decade to cultivate.The thought has always been in my head, the spirits need room.

It's so important to have a space that reflects me and my spirit team. A place to cozy up with a book and coffee or a meditation cushion and some soft music.

For so long, I thought I needed an external space, but Im not an external person. On any given day, you can find me tending to my home or dancing in my kitchen while I create a new recipe. My home is my magic. Manifested out of a winter solstice fever dream many moons ago.
I couldn't imagine then what my life would be now.

This season has me purging ideas that others put upon me. Cleaning and clearing foreign energies and objects. I'm honing my skills and preparing for what's to come. I'm healing my heart and manifesting authenticity and clarity.

With this change, I'm releasing individual readings from Amy The Kitchen Witch's services. Going forward, I will be focused on providing mobile divination and healing for groups only.

Reading tarot and astrology at parties is my passion, my specialty, and my preference. Mystical arts are just more fun with friends!

There is something so inspiring and refreshing during the solstice.

A pull to stay inside
Put a soup on the stove
Make a simmer pot

I spent a good amount of time cleaning, organizing, and redecorating my sacred spaces this weekend.

This altar is the key.

The truth is that life is messy
Witchery is dusty
Things get put on the back burner
I can get swept up in the dullery of home tending

The sun reminds me to remember who I am
To recall the chaos of the summer solstice
And to prepare for the tremendous growth and expansion ahead at the spring equinox

I sat in gratitude for 2024 and wished her the best.

Happy Solstice Eve to all of those who celebrate.

I absolutely love this time of year.
The creaking quiet of barren trees
the howl of the wind
It's a time for darkness
for contemplation
Going inward and sorting through the year
leaving behind what no longer fits

Every year on the solstice, I light bayberry candles and turn off all lights and electronics.

The folk tale goes:

"A bayberry candle comes from a friend, so on solstice eve burn to the end. For a bayberry candle burned to the socket will bring joy to the heart and gold to the pocket."

You can replace it with any winter holiday you celebrate

This is to celebrate the dark. The longest night, the shortest day. To appreciate the answers that come from the depths.
to honor the light coming back into our lives
shedding away the nonsense revealing the truth.

I typically prepare a feast of sorts, bake sweets, and make a special drink to offer to the spirits in the darkness.

My prominent spirits I offer are: Mother Mary, The Tree Spirits, my ancestors, guides, and the local land spirits.

Outside of work, you can find me tending to my plants, garden, and animal friends. I am an avid plant based home cook and am often mixing up a concoction in my kitchen.
