One of the reasons I prefer to shoot on sunny days is because you can play with light and shadow to create some really interesting images. That, and you can see the difference in warmth and quality of light on sunny days . . . but that has nothing to do with this photo. Chris and Grace had the most beautiful and warm day for their February wedding at The Celebration Farm. The arches of the venue are perhaps its most iconic feature, so it was nice to capture an artistic image that creatively framed the couple between the venue’s signature arches. When shooting a silhouette and exposing for the sky, background colors and textures become very dramatic, adding lots of visual interest.

Our Story

The Celebration Farm is a 5 1/2 acre event facility that is perfect to hold meetings, weddings, and celebrations. The Double Round can accommodate 300 people, and the Timber Frame accommodates up to 150. You can also rent the whole site and accommodate up to 450 people with parking to fit your guest count. Located on the property is a stone amphitheater built into the hillside, overlooking a pond and the forest. At the base of the amphitheater is a triple stone archway, and a brick paved area that is perfect for a band, a speaker, a ceremony, or whatever you would like. We give you the flexibility to choose your own caterers, provide the beverages you like, and to make your event as simple, or as extravagant as you desire.
