The Flowered Nest on the road! I threw together a little impromptu arrangement out if my hotel room while visiting Denver! It definitely took a little creative thinking to put this together working only with the flowers I could find on-hand in the area and a set of pruners I picked up for $10. Pretty happy with the results!

Spring colors! I love this time of year when we are just starting to see the first blooms popping up! So far I have anemone, muscari, hyacinth and daffodils blooming and my early tulips are sure to be showing color soon! Seeing everything coming to life certainly inspires my

I am working hard on turning my backyard into a big so that I can grow my own flowers for mid to late summer arrangements. First there is a lot of work to be done starting seeds, putting in new beds and coming up with a planting calendar to have blooms throughout as much of the season as possible. I know the more I get put in place this first year, the easier it will be in years to come… I just need to keep reminding my aching back of that! Wish me luck and I will be posting photos throughout the process!
