Everything was an adventure: the trees towering above, the grass crunching under your feet, it all was a land to be explored. Maybe you grabbed a branch from the ground and used it as a walking stick, like you saw your dad do as he went hiking in the woods. It was a place that made you feel small and the world so big and green and full of possibilities. And then one day, you went outside and sudde
nly things didn’t seem as friendly. The trees didn’t tower, they hovered, and you just knew that grass was filled with ticks and chiggers and all kinds of snakes. All of the crevices you used to explore could possibly hold bears, and you had heard one too many mountain lion stories. Maybe you have always loved the woods. (Or maybe you have never been particularly “outdoorsy.”)
Regardless, we want to take you to the magic that is The Woods. Come into our building. Grab a cup of coffee at the Arcadia Valley Roasting Company Coffehouse. Then step on in to a table. Enjoy the wifi and the conversations that surround it. Take a planned excursion: come during one of our concerts and enjoy some music with friends, or reserve our venue for your next event. Be spontaneous: start up a game of checkers with a stranger, or wait for one of our unscheduled performances on the stage. (You never know who--or what--we may have on the stage at any given time.) However you decide to enjoy The Woods, we want it to be space that awakens your sense of wonder, piques your imagination, and deepens your sense of community. We are very excited for what is to come as we venture into The Woods.
