Meet Milton Salazar @miltontheguy, one of OCMD's percussion faculty members! 🎵 🥁
Milton performs as a freelance percussionist in many local orchestras and community groups throughout Southern California. Milton has also served as an improviser in the experimental music group, THE DECISIVE INSTANT, and he is a member of the New Music Ensemble at CSU Fullerton. As an educator, he has experience with students of all ages and skill levels and can teach drum sets, orchestral percussion, keyboard instruments, and auxiliary percussion. Milton is also a fluent Spanish speaker.

Meet Eddie Yue, one of OCMD's cello faculty members! 🎵
Eddie earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with the honor of Summa Cum Laude. While pursuing his Master of Music degree at Cal State Fullerton, he performed as the university's principal cellist for the American premiere of Tarik O' Regan's "The Ecstasies Above" at Carnegie Hall in November of 2015. Meet Kevin Garnica, OCMD's newest piano faculty member! 🎹 🎵
Mr. Garnica is a pianist and composer active in the LA area. In 1995, he became one of the youngest winners of the ASCAP Composition Competition when his piano piece, Sonata for Scriabin, was chosen from over five-hundred entries. He has performed as a soloist throughout the United States, Central- and South-America, and Europe. Be sure to say hello to Mr. Garnica when you see him around OCMD!

Mr. Justin's Junior brass ensemble and students have been awarded top prizes at The Salvation Army's Encore Competition, involving young brass students from all over the western United States. Parris D. Mann has toured the United States, Canada and Europe as a principal dancer in productions of BLACK & BLUE, WILD WOMAN BLUES, RIVERDANCE/THE SHOW and JUST ‘n TIME. Parris’ Broadway credits include performances in RIVERDANCE on Broadway at the Gershwin Theater and THE JOINT IS JUMPIN’ at the Supper Club.

Meet Mr. Cristian Fatu, @misterfatu on Instagram, OCMD's new violin faculty member! Cristian is an award-winning violinist who plays in multiple orchestras and as a freelancer in the studio recording industry. He has performed in many TV and film productions as well as recording with diverse artists in the iconic Hollywood studios. He has been a member of the Violin Society of America Oberlin Acoustics Workshop since 2013, where he explores the physics of string instruments with fellow musicians, scientists and violin makers.

The demands of pursuing dance at an elite level while undergoing significant periods of growth and developmental change can take a huge toll on the developing dancer’s body, mind, and spirit. Dance Lab classes dive deep into concepts of purposeful and intentional training in an effort to minimize injury and maximize student potential.
