Hey Soup Fans!
Thanks again for another successful week of soup sales and on to this week!
Please note that my schedule will be modified again because I'll be cooking on Friday for my 3rd Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre at the Lancaster Community Library!
This one is titled "Midway to Murder" and it will be a County Fair theme! I'm going to attach the menu I created and if you're in the area, you might be lucky enough to snag a ticket for this fun event on Friday night!
Also I'll only be offering only one fresh soup this week but you're in luck, I'll be having a mini Frozen Soup Sale!

Here are my soup selections-

*New England Clam Chowdah- This is one of my favorite Classic comfort food soups that I've made with a Southern Twist!
Tender Chesapeake Bay Clams, Russet Potatoes, Vidalia Onions and Celery combine with Clam Juice, Cream and a hint of Old Bay seasoning (my Southern twist!). $10 a pint and $18 a quart

* Frozen Shrimp Bisque (on sale!)- $10 a pint and $20 a quart

*Frozen Sweet Heat Chili (GF) (on Sale!)- $8 a pint and $16 a quart

*Frozen Sweet Potato and Apple Bisque (V)(GF) (On Sale!)- $7 a pint and $14 a quart

Here's my schedule for the week-
*Thursday- FREE DELIVERY to the Northern Neck and Middlesex County from 8:30-4 . Please have your orders in by Wednesday @ 4 p.m.
*Thursday Pick-ups-pre orders in by Wednesday @4 p.m.
*Chesapeake Academy-8:15a.m.
*Savannah Joes ( Kilmarnock)-9 a.m.
*M&M Hardware ( Hartfield)-12:30 p.m.
*Friday- Lancaster Community Library Fundraising event from 6-?
*Saturday- St. Stephen's Farmers Market from 9-12.

I've got another busy week ahead of me, so I'll cut right to the chase!

Here are my Soups of the Week-

*Oysters Rockefeller Stew- In honor of this week's Oyster Festival in Urbanna and for those who don't want to fight the crowds there, I'm breaking out every oyster lover's dream stew!
This deconstructed version of the classic appetizer is made with fresh Rappahannock River Oysters (Kellum Seafood), Baby Spinach, Apple Wood Smoked Bacon, Caramelized Red Onions, Aged Swiss and a hint of Sambuca combined with Sweet Cream! $12 a pint and $23 a quart

*Lamb Stew (GF)- Tender Leg of Lamb is seared and then slow cooked with a Homemade Lamb Stock, Roasted Root Vegetables (Turnips, Parsnips, Carrots, Celery and Vidalia Onion), Russet Potatoes, Red Wine and Cream Sherry! From what my customers say, it's not too Baa-aaa-aaa-hhhddd!😜 $12 a pint and $23 a quart

*Smokey Split Pea (V)(GF)- Vegans rejoice, one of your favorites is back! Meat eaters who love Split Pea soup, don't worry you can add some Ham or Bacon to yours (I won't tell!🫣🤐).
Sweet Split Peas are simmered down with Carrots, Vidalia Onions and Celery in my Homemade Vegetable Stock and the Smoky flavor comes from Smoked Paprika! It's the perfect rainy weather soup, but since we're in a drought, it's the perfect dry weather soup! $8 a pint and $15 a quart

Hey Soup Fans!

First I'd like to thank everyone who showed up at the Saint Stephen's Farmer's Market on Saturday to give me a warm, "Welcome Back"!
Also, thanks to everyone who I delivered to in the NNK and Middlesex Co. I really appreciate your business!
Now on to this week, here are my Soups of the Week!

*Fisherman's Stew (GF)- Based on the famous "Cioppino" dish from San Francisco, this stew is Jam packed with Seafood, including, Wild Caught Gulf Shrimp,, Local Blue Crab, PEI Mussels, Chesapeake Bay Clams and Scallops.The base is a Tomato-Seafood Broth with Carrots, Vidalia Onions, Celery and Russet Potatoes. $12 a pint and $23 a quart

*Mushroom and Brie Soup- This is definitely my best seller and what kicked off my soup biz, 8 years ago! This rich and decadent soup is made with Crimini, Button, Shiitake and Oyster Mushrooms combined with Triple Cream Brie, Mushroom Stock and more Cream! * Helpful Hint- Use it mixed with pasta or rice, ladeled over chicken or a steak and use it in your favorite green bean casserole, over the holidays! $9 a pint and $17 a quart!

*Sweet Potato and Apple Bisque (V)(GF)- Last week I promised my Vegan friends that I would have one of your favs, well I'm keeping my promise with what i call a""Holiday in a Bowl" .
North Carolina Sweet Potatoes combine with VA. Grown Macintosh Apples, Apple Cider, Vidalia Onion, Homemade Vegetable Stock and Fall time spices! $8 a pint and $15 a quart

I have missed you and I'm so excited to get back to making soups (back at Yankee Point Marina).

I've kept you waiting since May, so no more anticipation!
Here are my "Soups of the Week"!

*Shrimp Bisque- I call this one the "Poor Man's Lobster Bisque", a modest version of the Shrimp's distant cousin (the Lobster), made with Wild Caught Gulf Shrimp, Vidalia Onion, Celery, Shrimp Stock, Butter, Flour and the perfect amount of Cream Sherry! $12 a pint and $22 a quart

*"Sweet Heat" Chili (GF)-This Award-Winning Chili combines the best of both worlds, Ground Chuck and Italian Sausage, five types of Roasted Peppers (the "heat"), Red Beans, Vidalia Onions, Roma Tomatoes, Beef Stock, Chili spices and Molasses (the "sweet"). $10 a pint and $18 a quart

*Sorry, Vegans and Vegetarians, since I'm moving into my kitchen, I won't be offering a Vegan soup this week, but I promise, next week I'll have one of your favorites available!

*Friday- FREE DELIVERY to your house from 8:15a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Orders must be in by 4 p.m. on Thursday at the latest!

Irvington will definitely be buzzing tomorrow with activity!
First it will be the Irvington Farmer’s market ( 9-12) and then the moment you’ve been waiting for, the Grand Opening of “Flyer” clothing boutique (4282 Irvington Rd.).
Who says “there’s no such thing as a Free Lunch”?

Hey Soup Fans!

Man, time flies when you're making soups and sadly this is the end of my soup making season.
But luckily for you I'm going out with a bang and offering 3 BIG soups that "explode" with flavor!

Here are my selections-
*Lamb Stew(GF)- The moment a lot of you have been waiting for! Tender pieces of New Zealand Leg of Lamb paired with Roasted Carrots, Vidalia Onion, Turnips, Parsnips and Potatoes stewed slowly in a delicious Lamb Broth with Red Wine and Sherry! If you haven't tried it , you should because this one is not Ba-aa-hhhd! $12 a pint and $23 a quart

*Oysters Rockefeller Stew- I invented this stew out of necessity! When i first moved to the Northern Neck, I had the misfortune of trying this Milky mess of a soup that was misnamed a stew.
So I thought I'd add some substance to it with Applewood Smoked Bacon, Baby Spinach, Red Onion, Aged Swiss and a touch of Sambuca and Voila, a luxurious version of my favorite appetizer was transformed into one of my most popular Stews! $12 a pint and $23 a quart

*Asparagus, Shrimp and Shiitake Soup (GF)- So last week, I left a lot of you wondering what this week's "Mystery Soup" was and it was a mystery to me until yesterday when i found out that i could get more of our delicious Local Asparagus! Sooo, I'm offering this once a year, Asian-Inspired soup that features Local Asparagus, Wild Caught Gulf Shrimp and Shiitake Mushrooms, accompanied by Vidalia Onions, Homemade Shrimp Stock,, Sesame Oil and Low Sodium Soy Sauce! $12 a pint and $23 a quart

Here is my schedule for this week-
*Friday- NO DELIVERIES! I'm going ALL IN on my way out, by cooking for a Monte Carlo Casino Night fundraiser at the Lancaster Co. Community Library!
*Saturday- I'll make my final appearance of the season at the St. Stephen's Farmers Market (Grove and Somerset, Richmond, VA.)from 9-12. Please have your orders in by Friday at 4 p.m.!
*Sunday- I bet you thought I was going to forget about my local peeps with the NO DELIVERY announcement for Friday! Well , I'll be offering the same pick-up and delivery schedule on Sunday instead!
Pick-ups at Chesapeake Academy,(Irvington) at 8:15 a.m., Savannah Joes, (Kilmarnock) at 9 a.m. and for my M&M folks in Hartfield, I'm changing the location to right across the street at the Dano's Pizza parking lot, at 12:30 p.m. please have your orders in by Friday @ 4 p.m.
