Have you every visited a place where you got the feeling that you belong and that you just didnât want to leave? Like for you it was somehow a special place? Call it Karma, call it Kizmit or perhaps call it just good old fashioned luck -- whatever word you may choose, the simple joy is in the finding of it! Stone Lion is one of those special places. We thought it was just us but everyone who visited consistently expressed the same feeling. We noticed that Nature felt it too - the 80 acre property is home to several white albino deer and dozens of bald eagles. One of only six scenic rivers (the Rum river) in Minnesota flows through the property. It wasnât long before it became clear that Stone Lion needed to be shared with the world. The Bed and Breakfast (www.stonelionb.com) was opened several years ago as a peaceful and romantic get-away enjoyed by couples from all over the world. Today it consistently earns a 5-star rating and is becoming famous for the breakfasts! The Winery is expected to open sometime in 2020. When it opens we invite you to come âtake your shoes off and sit a spellâ while enjoying wine, ciders, pizza and delightful conversation. You may arrive as a stranger but we promise you will leave as a friend. Minnesotanâs are like that. Stone Lion has hosted weddings for years. Itâs owners got their start back in the 1980âs catering wedding cakes all over town. Stone Lionâs new Event Venue opened in 2019. Itâs the perfect place for your wedding, family reunion, Corporate event and other gatherings and an easy 40 minute drive north of the twin cities.
Stone Lion is owned by David and Kathy Beckstrom who spent 10 years planting the 3,000 grape vines in the vineyards, building the B&B and the event venue. They are excited about the future as there is a lot more to come!
