The five-acre, oceanfront venue is available to the public for rental. The beautiful two-story Beach House can comfortably hold 150 people for a seated dinner, 200 people for a cocktail reception and 175 for an indoor ceremony. March 31, 1995: The new Colonel Robert R. McCormick Beach Club of The Citadel was dedicated following reconstruction after the original beach house was destroyed by Hurricane Hugo in 1989.
