About Us
Sweet T’s is the beginning of a true American success story. Joseph, an Army veteran, is a true South Carolina character blessed with the gift of gab and the love of authentic southern food. Sally is a military brat with deep family roots in coastal South Carolina and Georgia.
Five plus generations of South Carolina upbringing, and friendships with all sorts of characters from the swamps to the coast, an ol’ boy learns a few different ways to cook up a good meal. But, people often ask Joseph, “Where did you learn to cook?” And it’s always the same response, “At my mother’s elbow.” His mother, Josephine, was a great cook and she certainly knew how to throw a party!
After years of perfecting his craft, Joseph was encouraged by family and friends to share his passion with everyone. With Sally, business quickly grew and they established Sweet T’s Island Kitchen, and they expanded into their quaint brick and mortar kitchen on the Isle of Palms.
