Looks like it will be an amazing flower year! I have more starts overwintered, sown weekly in the spring to divide up my bloom time. I am looking forward to when my flowers are 4-8ft tall.

I know most don’t think about gardening in fall…. Now is actually the best time to purchase and plant as if you start from seed you can sow as soon as you have a hard killing frost. Then you will have flowers for spring! No work needed, just put in the dirt and for it. I am working on my Etsy shop and have changed my name. Check out what I have available on my Etsy.

Dahlia are a work of love. So are my flowers and garden for many to enjoy. I work year round doing things to prepare my garden beds, start seeds, divide, harvest along with all the dirty work. It makes it all worth it when someone loves them, or I see a new bloom opening up.

I have some new followers for my cut flower garden. So thought I should introduce my garden. KW Flowers is simply an order and pick up flowers, I am not open to the public. I do have a roadside stand that I am able to sell from when it is not too hot. Since it’s been a little hotter I am not able to keep them cool enough. Let talk flowers….
Store bought: shipped needing 5-7 days, lasting in your house probably only another 5 days, they are also not local flowers and do not benefit your local environment and bee habitat.

Buying fresh: you get 2 weeks with flowers, providing food for nature in your backyard, supplying production for your local farms and beekeeping, also know that not only me but many other flower farms spend endless hours planting, growing, cutting for others to enjoy. Just send a message and your bouquet will be ready for pick up!

Well crap… that darn Corona got me into this beautiful mess. Do you or you know someone needing flowers, getting married? My dahlias are just starting to flower. I thought I lost most of them after my dad’s passing as I couldn’t bare to go into his garage where they were stored. It was an awful year, but today I can hear him saying “wow sweetheart this is amazing, you have to sell these!”

Moon Phases are a thing, healthcare workers and gardeners can tell you this! I’m both so I know this to be the true. I also believe in Angels, the Holy Spirit, and that ours souls continue on but are near to our loved ones once our bodies are no longer with us.
My Dad also loved me bigger then the Universe with telling me and showing me. Once he passed the James Webb telescope came up with some amazing photos . He loved to work and wanted to be hired to help with the development of traveling to space. I know he is having the time of his life until we meet again. Love you to the universe and back Dad 💙

Great Dahlia dig! This is one of my favorite things to do and to see how many tubers I grew. My assistant is sick with COVID so I’m getting them together with the same colors for organizing 😊👩‍🌾

Growing dahlia’s some might say it’s hard, but it’s only as hard as you make it. They do grow in the wild, will make seeds, new tubers from stems fallen and covered with soil for a new color of dahlia. Missing my Dad fiercely the last few days, I’m soaking up as much as I can as he loved my garden and gives me comfort from the sudden loss of him. He was always so kind and loving, I would give anything for a big hug from him. Love you forever Dad 💙🕊
