These lovely ladies spent the day with me. We hiked Buttermilk Falls, then I served them my favorite Peanut Lime Noodle Vegan dish. Did you miss out painting last month?? Don’t fear, “Buttermilk Falls” is here! Join me, Anna, at The Inn at Gothic Eves August 21st at 3pm to paint one of our beautiful falls.

Want to hike the falls with me?! Even better! Meet at North Buttermilk Parking Lot at 12 pm. Afterwards we will eat home cooked food together.

🎶 “Rain rain go away” 🎵 The last times I’ve painted with swimmers at Ithaca Swim Club we have had major rain 🌧. Today I get to paint with them again, and have been humming this childhood tune willing the ☀️.

Ooooo!! I am so excited to be painting “Finger Lakes Vineyards” September 8th from 6-8pm Little Venice in Trumansburg.

This was the first painting I taught when I went out on my own and began Paint with Anna. Throughout this class I felt empowerment, fear and excitement all at once.

Empowerment for believing in myself to create and host such an event and space for others to learn and experience joy in.

Fear, for being on my own and having others see the true me. No longer hiding behind the mask of a corporation or boss telling me how to present myself.

Excitement, for making a career as an Artist. My Mother always corrects me saying “Don’t try, just do!” I disliked her dismissing my space of grappling with being an Artist. Now I understand that she really meant “You can do this! You’re doing it. Believe in yourself and just do it.”

So here I am, two years later “Doing it!”

One of the reasons why I share and teach Painting in the community is because I genuinely think Art is for anyone! I absolutely love these moments of creating art and space with families across generations! We all come in with our own experiences, skills, and perspectives — this is powerful and beautiful.

A few days ago I had enough flower pots to start my own greenhouse. Today they are dispersed throughout the community wrapped in painted empowerment.
