We are located in southern Utah and currently serve the cities of St. George, Santa Clara, Ivins, and Washington. We will also travel to Hurricane for an additional $20 travel fee. We are almost done with Izzy the blue iguana's new enclosure! I found it on marketplace and for some reason my husband agreed to the whole experience. 🤣🤣 We loaded it up, somehow got it home on the trailer, got it inside, and spent a week rebuilding and cleaning it. ♥️♥️ She still hates all humans, but hopefully she will be happy in her new home. 🦎♥️

Have you ever seen a tortoise drink water?! They put their entire faces, including their noses, into the water and suck it in. They can stay like this, just like Lovey here did, for several minutes. 🤯♥️🐢 Tortoises get a lot of their water from the foods they eat and some from sitting for a soak in very shallow water dishes, but they do occasionally get a nice long drink from their water bowls as well!

Just hanging in the sun with Mini today. I got a good picture of his "spurs" on his back legs, which are the reason they're called African Spurred tortoises.
We have a BUSY weekend ahead full of opportunities for you to see a few cool animals.

Friday the 25th from 3-5 we will be at Staheli Farms for a presentation and meet and greet with the animals!

Also this Friday from 6-7:30 we will have a booth at the Main Street Park in Ivins for their Halloween bash. It is free to the public and will have tons of fun for the kids!!

Finally, this Saturday from 5-8pm we will have a booth (as well as a silent auction basket for a reptile party!) at the Vista School Festival in Ivins. Tickets are $5 (or 6 for $25) and the event is organized by the Vista PTO as a fundraiser for the school. They have put so much thought, time, and HARD work into throwing a fun family festival at the school this weekend. You won't want to miss it. Stop by and see us!!!

Thanks again for your support. Our YouTube channel just surpassed 5,800 subscribers and parties and events are growing like crazy. My dreams of having a reptile rescue location to share with everyone in Southern Utah are looking more and more like a future reality!! 🐢🐍🦎♥️

Mr.T has been caught exploring his new winter enclosure. We went on vacation and came back to colder temperatures so all 11 tortoises, as well as Mr. T here and 6 of our water turtles, made their way inside for the winter. We hope to be able to expand all their winter enclosures for next winter, but for now we do the best we can housing so many of our shelled family members inside where they are safe and warm. ♥️🐢

Jack, the 5 (and a third) year old self proclaimed future Olympic swimmer, is very excited to be watching the Olympics this year. What are your favorite sports to watch? So far ours have included swimming (obviously), gymnastics, and beach volleyball, but I, for one, definitely miss baseball being a part of the summer games. 🏊🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🏐⚾

Spotlight Sunday: Gus the blue tongued skink! Gus, aka my little meatloaf, is enjoying a worm, blueberry, and apple snack. They are such fun animals to watch with their tiny little legs and big, round bodies. This snakelike lizard can be found in Australia and are omnivores, meaning they eat both plants and animals. Some of Gus' favorites are superworms, crickets, kale, mustard greens, squash, blueberries, and strawberries. #bluetonguedskink #blueylove Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has a great week. ♥️

People sometimes ask if caring for the animals is ALL I do. 😂 We have 34 reptiles right now so it may seem like it, but once everyone is taken care of and parties are done for the day this is what we do. All summer long!! We hope you're enjoying your summer, staying cool, and having a blast!! Swimming here at home with the beautiful red rock backdrop is obviously our favorite thing, but what is YOUR favorite thing to do in the summer?

Update ... It's now up to 25 kids....😂❤️ "We tentatively have 20 kids right now ....this is getting out of hand. I haven't ever gotten this good of a response with a birthday party. People are getting real excited about your reptiles!!" This is what I love to hear!! I have an upcoming birthday party this Friday, and I love getting messages like this from the parents. ❤️🐍🦎🐢 If you want to have the coolest birthday party on the block let me know! We are booking for summer parties now!!

Instagram isn't working for me right now, but I couldn't wait to share one of our new loves. I've dreamt of having a Blue Tongue Skink for a while and one happened to be available in my area from a lovely family who just didn't have the time for him that they knew he needed. I am thrilled to have Gus and can't wait for his tank background and a few other decor items to come. For now we're using towels because if the Bearded Dragon sees another animal he goes crazy! ♥️ The reptile room is as full as my heart!!!

Watching some fireworks from the pool. ♥️ I like that they're only allowed at the park, which is next to the fire department, and that we can see them from the yard. 🎆🎇🧨🧑‍🚒

Beardie enrichment! Bearded Dragons like, and need, space. I get Bailey here out just about every day for some fun activities, like the beardie ball, and some space to run a bit. We are making good progress on trust, and I'm learning more about Bailey every day. ♥️
