a five-star review from a recent wedding…My husband and I will forever have so much love for Whitney's Inn!! We had our wedding here on 11/11/23 and Don and their entire team made our wedding an absolute dream come true. From our first visit to the venue, to returning for the tasting event, to the big weekend itself...this place became a second home to us. It was the most charming, warm and cozy venue for hosting our rustic fall wedding, and the prices were more than reasonable compared to other venues we were seeing. Don and his team were receptive and willing to do anything within their power to address every idea, question, detail and concern that we had (Don literally upgraded all the string lights before our wedding because he knew how much we loved them). It was also important to us to findban LGBTQ+ Supporting venue, and we truly felt part of the Whitney's Inn family by the end. In November, we had no idea if we were going to have our ceremony at the Woodland Ceremony Site with the cold. After some back and forth planning, we made the call to do it outside on the wedding day, and Don and the entire team switched gears and had everything ready in no time! Not only was it the right call, but despite the cold, we had blankets for our guests and they couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous the ceremony was (and the pictures certainly back that up!) Having accommodations on-site (with so many nearby) was a no-brainer, including an actual salon for the women in our wedding party!! It felt like a little getaway with all of our favorite people, and there was so much for guests to do and explore on their own time. Having breakfast with everyone in the morning was also one of the more special moments from the weekend that I'll always remember. We went to the Red Fox for our rehearsal dinner, but they offer that as well!!
Literally, it's a one-stop shop venue and Don has a great connection to vendors (shoutout to Dutch Bloemen Winkel and Autumn Nomad). At first glance, it may seem humble and quaint, but it truly transformed for the wedding, and people could not stop talking about how special our wedding weekend was. The staff brought so much energy and charisma, and were fantastic! There are so many spaces for guests to enjoy sweet little moments. The barn was already gorgeous, but became totally transformed once all the lights, fireplace and candles, and flowers were all out. Can't speak highly enough. We were so sad once it was all over, and know that we'll be back for a visit in the future.

Thank you Britta & Matt for the great review on The Knot…Cannot be more thankful to Don and the whole staff at The Whitney’s Inn. What a beautiful venue and the food - incredible!! We had such a fantastic weekend for our wedding. We chose Whitney’s on the recommendation of a friend and I was in love with its rustic charm instantly. Our ceremony was done at the fireplace across the street and it made for the most perfect pictures with the foliage. Don even had a fire going for us. The Shovel Handle Pub has hands down the best wedding food we’ve ever had - steak tips and prosciutto wrapped chicken. To die for. We can’t wait to return!

The Barn at Whitney’s offers full service weddings with wedding coordination of your ceremony, rehearsal, cocktail reception, and dinner reception. We also offer all of the inventory for the day including plates, glassware, silverware, tablecloths, napkins, etc. What you might not know is that we also have a salon, Maria Claire Beauty, that offers hair and makeup services for our weddings. “We just got married July 1st, 2023. We originally met with Don last year to view the venue and loved it so much. He welcomed us with a folder of all the information we would need and toured the venue with us. We also did a taste testing of their menu that was free for the couple. We worked closely with Lori, his wedding coordinator, who answered any questions we had leading up until the day of which was nice! The day before the wedding we met with Don who went over everything that would happen and what we would expect as well as walked us through the rehearsal. The day of the wedding, Don and his team were amazing and were with us through everything and made sure things started on time and people were where they needed to be. Don’s wife, Maria, was also great. She redid my makeup probably 5 times before we found something I liked - she absolutely made sure I loved my hair and make up. The rest of the staff and bartenders were also great, very friendly and helpful!”
