Today is the day! We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Jackson Academy for #JASI2022 🎶🎶🎶 Join us all weekend to watch amazing talent take the stage!

Tonight’s Seniors Spotlight is Courtney Francois. Courtney has been a member of the Encore band for three years where she plays cello and auxiliary percussion. Her favorite Encore memory is hanging out with her friends on the Kansas City trip. After graduation, Courtney will attend USM where she will major in music performance with a minor in mathematics. She ultimately hopes achieve her Ph.D. and teach music theory and composition on the collegiate level. For Courtney’s senior feature she would like to share one of her own compositions entitled “An Adventure in a New Land.”

For the next few weeks, we will proudly honor our Encore Seniors. Our first Senior Feature is Encore member, Reese Anderson. Reese has been involved in JA Show Choirs for 6 years as a member of Showtime and then Encore. Her Favorite Encore memory is competing at the Madison Central Deep South Classic in 2019. After graduation, Reese plans to Attend Ole Miss and get a BFA in Acting for Stage and Screen. Reese would like to present Jimmy from Thoroughly Modern Millie as her Senior Feature.
