Today's Tech Tuesday Tip: Avoiding Parking Lot Woes...

Imagine you're walking out of the arena where Sabrina Carpenter just gave the most lit performance you've ever seen. Every song was a bop, no cap. Each one of her outfits slayed. Her backup dancers were a mood. Everything is lovely here on Earth...until you and your crew arrive back at the seemingly endless rows of cars and you've forgotten where you had parked. Your crew now thinks you're a bit sus. Abandoning you, they catch a ride home with Corbin and his older brother Tanner, who you lowkey have a crush on 😱😭

Don't let this happen to you! Before you get out of your vehicle, open the Google Maps app on your smartphone and tap the blue dot that shows your location, then select "Save parking."

Today's Tech Tuesday Tip: Calibrating Your MacBook's Display (Newer Models)

Did you know that Apple MacBooks have this neat little feature that allows you to adjust your display to accommodate for such factors as ambient light, the position and angle of the display, and the age of the display. The feature is called Display Calibrator Assistant, and this how to get to it:

1.) On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

2.) Click the pop-up menu next to “Color profile,” then choose Customize. The color profile for your display and a list of other color profiles appears.

3.) Click the Add button to open Display Calibrator Assistant. Display Calibrator Assistant will then walk you through customizing your display and create a calibrated color profile. The number of adjustments in the calibration process varies depending on the type of display.

Wyoming families with students in grades K-3, you can help choose the next set of Buckaroo Book Award nominees! 🏇🤠📚 Pick up a nomination form at the Youth Desk, and nominate any book --fiction or nonfiction (including poetry), that is currently in print with a copyright date within the last 5 years. The book may be a picture book, easy-to-read book, a high interest-low vocabulary book, or an appropriate grade level chapter book, and can't have appeared first as a movie or TV show.

The Buckaroo Book Award provides the opportunity for Wyoming children in grades kindergarten through third to select favorite books they have read or listened to and to honor the authors of these books.

The Buckaroo Book Award is a joint project of the Wyoming State Literacy Association (WSLA) and the Wyoming Library Association (WLA).
