ENGLEWOOD STRONG!
Work continues today at Pioneer Plaza as Matt McAllister Art is back at work on The Englewood Mural Project after cleaning up the mess after Hurricane Ian.
The Englewood Mural Project is brought to you by the Englewood Chamber of Commerce's Leadership 2022 Englewood Graduates.
It should be complete in a couple of weeks.
Yesterday, people in Englewood came together to celebrate surviving hurricane Ian as a community.
The idea to put on a Hurricane Relief Show started in a bar five days earlier when Scott Libertore of Libee’s Sports Bar and Grill said “we should do this at Pioneer Plaza”.
He puts his words to action and acquired the permit and insurance. I stepped up and offered my assistance and the rest is history.
Before it started to rain, close to three hundred people had gathered. As the music played with Little Joe McLerran and his family band keeping the mood high, the rain continued and some dispered because of the rain, as other people came around and up on the stage to keep the party alive.
We needed some stress relief, and that is exactly what Englewood got.
