Bit & Spur Saddle Club Established 1964, on the Northside of town. Located behind the Holiday Inn at the airport.

The mission and purposes for which this corporation is formed are: To engage in charitable and educational activities in connection with the promotion of interest in horses and horsemanship; to promote and develop fellowship among the horse lovers of Jacksonville Florida, and those of other towns; participate in national and international amateur equine sporting competitions; Promote the good heal

th and well-being of all equine and prevention of any illness, injury and/or miss handling or harm in any way.

There will be TWO shows at this club. Come camp out and ride both . Coastal Plaines 5 events on Saturday then NEFBRA 3 event on Sunday . Two totally different Associations . Run what you like on both. Become a member at NEFBRA and you qualify running a certain amount of shows TBA and be eligible for SHOOTOUT with extra $$$$ at end of season, several shows will be offered some on Saturday and some on Sunday and buckles will be given out . On NEFBRA you may pre enter the Monday-Friday b4 show on Sunday 26th 904-226-2033 name of rider, horse, class open, youth , sidepots seniors, crackpot . You may ride open and roll over if you like .

For the new season buckles will be awarded, hopefully some extra added money along the way and some other surprises. You do not have to be a member to run. CLOVERLEAF WILL BE RAN FIRST WITH EXB FROM 8-10. POLES EXB FOLLOWED BY OPEN POLES THEN ARENA RACE. You pick what games to run, if a member you can run a certain number of games TBD and qualify for SHOOTOUT at end of season. More info to follow There are pony, youth, open, crackpot and senior to pick from to run . Family fun and something for everyone, see you SOON. 67th Anniversary -Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch - Annual Open House and Horse Show

If you are looking for a wonderful cause and a great getaway with your horse come on out and camp and ride. This is truly a wonderful and relaxing event. You DO NOT have to be a member of a club to come and ride. Everyone is welcome. Music and dancing on Friday and Saturday at the tent near the Entrance.
Bath House with Showers available all weekend
All monies raised will go to support the Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch

Reservations for Primitive Campsite will open to public: Mid December

Admission $10.00 per vehicle. -*including golf carts and side by sides

5:00pm -Friday night free chicken and rice for everyone
12:00pm - Saturday BBQ Lunch - tickets are available for $10.00

Trail Rides:
9:30 am -Thursday - $20
9:30 am - Friday - $20

Games: - Covered Arena
$10 - Lead Line (they will have their own signup sheet)
$35 for the weekend per rider (includes (1) BBQ ticket with signup)

8:30am - Measure Ponies
2:00 pm - Poles- (they will start over typically at 6pm and pick up people who come in late) this is the only event they will do that
5:00pm - Free Chicken and Rice
7:00pm- Music at Music tent

Saturday:
8:00 am - Arena Race
10:30am - Grand Entry, Sponsorship Recognition
12:00- 1:30pm- Barbeque
1:00 - 3:00pm - Open House Boys Ranch
12:30 - Personal Pick up. - $20 per person
Followed by: resume Arena Race

9:00am - Texas Barrel Weave

***VERY IMPORTANT***
On Friday if you are on the grounds and are setup to camp you must ride when your class is running the first time, if you are on the grounds and do not ride when your class is run and you come ride later at 6:00pm when they start over -YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

CURRENT COGGINS REQUIRED AND CHECKED AT GATE!!
No ATV’s/Bicycles/Skateboards allowed

Bit and Spur members that ride Coastal Plains Shows please take note of the following rule changes for Coastal Plains Shows. Our 1st show of the season will be this Saturday in Waycross

1. All shows will now start at 9:00 am
2. All clubs are responsible to work the poles
3. The remaining events work schedule for the season will be posted this coming Friday on the Coastal Plains Association- Running page so be on the look out to see what event Bit and Spur will be responsible to work.
