Bold City Con 2022
Jacksonville Florida turns 200 in 2022 and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate our home town's bicentennial with the inaugural Bold City Con!
Bold City Con will be a broad reaching themed show that will include a spectrum of fandoms from Superhero, Sci-Fi, Anime, TV/Film, cosplay, comics, and gaming.
There will be something for everyone at Bold City Con!
Bold City Con has crafted a premium lineup, featuring headlining guest award-winning actor Doug Jones (Star Trek: Discovery, Hellboy, Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, The Shape of Water, and Hocus Pocus), Larry Bagby & Tobias Jelinek (for a Hocus Pocus reunion with Doug), Jason Marsden (Disney's Max Goof, Legend of Korra, Hocus Pocus), Mindy Sterling (Austin Powers, Legend of Korra), Todd Haberkorn (Dragonball Z, Attack on Titan, Pokémon), Matt Lintz (Ms. Marvel, The Walking Dead), and many more local and regional guests!
Bold City Con also introduces the first 'Cosplayground' a mini cosplay con inside Bold City Con featuring a series of photo op backdrops, Cosplay Guests, Costume Groups, a Cosplay Salon by Jackalope Cosmetics, and a Cosplay Cool Down section, along with lots of props and photo ops.
Our vendor hall and artist alley marketplaces will bring together a unique mix of collectible, rare, and original nerdy wares and interactive exhibits.
Special guest and fan panels will be scheduled throughout the weekend including a cosplay contest!
After Hours events at 1904 Music Hall on Friday and Saturday nights.
Sunday February 26th is National Pokémon Day and we will be celebrating at Bold City Con with our special guest cosplayer Pikabellechu who holds the Guinness World Record for having the largest Pokémon collection, including the Pikachu themed VW Bug car.

DOUG JONES IS COMING TO JACKSONVILLE!
Doug Jones is an American actor, contortionist, and mime artist. He is best known for portraying non-human creatures, usually via heavy make-up and visual effects. He has most notably collaborated with acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, appearing in the films Mimic (1997), Hellboy (2004), Pan's Labyrinth (2006), Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008), Crimson Peak (2015), and The Shape of Water (2017).
Jones's other roles include Hocus Pocus (1993), Tank Girl (1995), The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (2005), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), Absentia (2011), Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016), and The Bye Bye Man (2017). He has appeared in the science fiction series Falling Skies (2013–15) and del Toro's horror series The Strain (2014–16). Since 2017, he has portrayed Captain Saru in the science fiction series Star Trek: Discovery.
