Had the best day celebrating @marissa_lawrence and baby L! 🫶💐🤍
A little Saturday afternoon flower processing here at BLOOM HQ (aka my dining room table)🌻
Ranunculus used to really frustrate me when I was just learning about flowers. I started to become convinced that everyone else got the fluffy, straight ranuncs and I was just somehow always choosing the wilted ones. 😅
I had no idea that the stems were hollow, allowing for as much water to be sent up into the bloom as possible. The problem is, as the bloom grows, opens, and takes in water, it becomes too heavy for the stem to support it. So we can go in with a little craft wire to give it some help standing straight! 🌸
The first few times I did this I went in through the bottom of the stem with wire. I was shredding the stems like crazy with the sharp wire so I finally started practicing going in through the head of the flower instead and boy has my life changed 💐I’m no longer afraid of incorporating these beauties in my arrangements and at markets and wanted to share this with you! ☀️🤗
Want to learn more about little tips to making your flowers look stunning at home? Let’s book a workshop for you & your friends where I teach you tricks like this 👆🏼 while we celebrate learning, flowers, and each other! 👯♀️💐
