It’s American Heart Month and I was invited to be apart of this OUTSTANDING Women’s Heart Health Workshop yesterday at St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church 💪🏾❤️
In high school, Ms. Prevailing Winds would start her speeches by having us repeat “There’s greatness in this room..and I..personify..greatness.” - that was my personal mantra this morning because it’s literally what THIS was. Did you all know that there’s a BLACK WOMAN with her own board certified Nursing Academy?! Now you know 🥰
Oh, and super special thank you to all of the speakers, ALL EDUCATED BLACK WOMEN, and Ms. Rosalind Coleman Lavant for thinking of me and inviting me. Like she said, she remembers me running around EMBC in my ruffle socks 😂 so coming today was personal 💕

I’m crying a lil bit, I spoke at the high school I graduated from today.

- 2 of the students said they coming to work for me when I open up my restaurant.
- a handful of them had me as a substitute teacher before.
- I gave them samples and some still bought cake AND tipped.
- 1 of them said she’s going to FAMU.
- ALL of them showed me kindness and wished me well

Thank you God! Thank you Ribault 💙⚔️
