Throwback to my first job, working in a pizza kitchen when I was 15 in my hometown, Granada Hills. We would make the best garlic knots. I didnโt know then, but I can look back now and appreciate how we made everything from scratch in that little pizza kitchen.

Took a break this past week to visit family in Idaho, and of course was able to do some R&D at the local bakery ๐
in Boise ID, organic is grown within 100 miles from the bakery, and freshly milled on-site. Your girl was stoked to be able to pick up some proper flour and fix up some beignets for the family. Fried in my grandmothers Dutch oven, and shared in a big pile on the dining room table; this was a special moment to finally get to share this journey that Iโve been on with those that I love.

Come find us in the food court. I have something new on the menu today that Iโm really excited aboutโฆ. Lil mini breakfast sausages dipped in einkorn pancake batter and fried ๐ณ elevated pigs-in-a-blanket. Whaaa?!
Iโm realizing that so many of my dishes are inspired from my childhood memories of brunch out with my grandparents. These meals for me were so contrast to the usual Americana style dinners weโd have at home (canned, boxed, processed and frozen cheap garbageโฆno shadeโฆ just the reality). I took these weekend brunches with my grandparents as an opportunity to dip into the culinary world. Always trying something different and new. Falling in love with food and expanding my taste horizons. I can taste these meals in my food. And I can also taste my grandmothers home-scratch cooking. Perhaps you can too. A comment I often get from customers is how nostalgic my food tastes to them. It warms my heart and reminds me of my Grandma when I hear it. The evolution of this business into what is is now, is thanks to my grandparents. Boujee Brunch all day baybay ๐๐

I know. Tragic. Too soon. I couldnโt help it. I was impatient. And yepโฆ they were meh.
This long drawn out early โspringโ had me weary our local fruits would ever show.. Little did I know, if I waited just one more week, my favorite strawberry stand would be open!!!

I will literally use their strawberries in some way every week until the season is over. Farm owner, Maria, says you can find them at the grants pass market & applegate evening market this year. Theyโre the best. Not certified organic, but they are no spray and use organic practices ๐๐๐

Customer reactions, feedback and just conversation about what we do and why, is my favorite part of what I do.
Customer Wayne was willing (and excited) to be a test subject for me, he has serious gluten intolerance. He ordered a boat of our classic beignets and promised he would be back this week to let me know how it went. He went on about his day without even noticing until much later that he never had a single problem after eating them.
