After spending just over 3 years serving Jacksonville and the surrounding areas, Skillet, in the form that you currently recognize it, is officially closed. This isn't a sad post. This was a decision made by our team after careful thought and consideration. It's time for something new, so we have decided not to renew our contract with the school. Instead, Chris and I have decided to take on some other projects and adventures for a while. You may see Skillet come back in the form of pop-up dinners or maybe even a new food truck down the line, but for now we will be closing. Thank you to everyone who made this such an amazing adventure. We have made hundreds, if not thousands of friends over the years and we wouldn't have been able to do it without the love and support of each and every one of you. Thank you!

Whether you need a little help with some of your sides or you need the whole meal handled, Skillet has your back. Here is our updated menu and pricing for our Thanksgiving Day offerings. You still have time to place orders. All items are limited in quantity so make sure you reserve yours today. Orders will be accepted through the night of November 20th. You can get a take and bake version of everything delivered or picked up on Wednesday or you can pick up your meal hot and ready to go on Thursday.

It's that time of year again! Skillet is offering up our help for the holidays. If you are looking to take some of the pressure off when it comes to cooking up a fancy feast for your fellow foodies, then do not miss out on this opportunity. As of now, we are still just offering up the sides, desserts, and drinks you and your guests will love. We may also offer up some main courses soon.

In an effort to avoid contamination of food and drink, following the boil water advisory this weekend, we will be closed today to flush and sanitize all of our equipment, including ice, coffee, and soda machines. We will be open regular hours starting tomorrow. Thank you.

Just a friendly reminder, we are open to the public. Our schedule for the summer is Monday through Thursday 8am to 5pm. We are available all weekend for catering and large orders. Stop in and check out our ever-changing chef's specials. Today is one of my personal favorites: The Patty Melt. Here at Skillet we pride ourselves on our cooked to temperature burgers, but the allure of a smash patty is not totally lost on us. The Patty Melt is one of the best applications for the smash burger. This one comes with 2 smash burgers, Swiss cheese, and grilled onions on Village Bread & Bagel gourmet Jewish rye, served with fries for $10. Only available in person, supplies are limited.

We get asked about breakfast catering a lot. I decided to make a menu of our more common items. We are not limited to this menu. We are only limited by your imagination and budget. If your office or workplace caters breakfast to it's employees, tell them to contact us. Do you have a pharmaceutical rep sending you food from the same place over and over again? We have really expanded on our menu to meet the needs of our new location. With there being so many people on campus who are looking for food every day, we knew they did not want the same thing every time, we had to have a variety. This is our current menu, not including breakfast, grab and go, or our daily specials. Come check us out at FSCJ South Campus. We are open to the public, you can order online and pick up or come in and order in person. We have indoor and outdoor seating as well.

🎶Put some hot sauce on my breakfast burrito, baby!🎶

Breakfast is a new concept for us here at Skillet. Operating for most of our earliest days in the darkness of the evening, we have now found ourselves up before the sun. Of course, the sun is shining by the time we open our doors. That's when you can stop in and get fresh brewed Martin Coffee Company coffee, fresh baked bagels and pastry from Village Bread & Bagel, and one of our breakfast options. We are currently running this delicious breakfast burrito. We believe simplicity is sometimes the best option. We pack scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar jack cheese, and tater tots into a flour tortilla and serve it with taco or hot sauce. Stop in and check us out.

Start your day off right with one of the best breakfast sandwiches in town! I know, my opinion is a little biased, but for only $5, why not stop in and check it out for yourself?

It starts with the bread. We use local Village Bread & Bagel products: White or wheat toast; cheddar, jalapeño cheddar, Swiss, everything, or plain bagels. You could even try it on a blueberry bagel if you are feeling a little adventurous. Top that with two eggs, cracked and fried to order. Next is the meat; we will soon have ham as an option, but for now, you can choose between bacon or local Azar Sausage smash patties, cooked to order. Top it off with a choice of cheddar, Swiss, American, or pepper jack cheese for a delicious, made just for you, breakfast option. Served 8am to 11am daily.

Pair this beauty with a Martin Coffee Company coffee or iced blended latte from our coffee bar.

Not only will we be still be serving up the same Skillet classics you've come to love, but we will also be serving up an expanded Café menu, an ever-changing assortment of grab and go items, coffee corner with a full suite of drinks that rivals even the biggest coffee shops, as well as this beautiful display of baked goods shown below.

Online ordering will be available. Soon we will have curbside parking set-up. For now our hours will be:

Skillet has a conference room!

Do you have a work meeting, sales pitch, party, or other small group gathering? We can help.

We can accommodate seating for up to 50 people in a completely private room, and larger groups in a semi-private setting. This will be available for rent 7 days a week. Even better, if you meet a catering minimum, the room rental is completely free!

The room has a 47" TV, projector with screen, AV hookups and a podium with microphone. We can also rearrange and decorate the area to meet your needs.

Now that pen has been put to paper, we can finally announce the big news. Skillet has teamed up with FSCJ to take over the Cafe at South Campus. The Blue Wave Cafe will now be powered by Skillet!

What does this mean for your favorite food truck?

To start, the cafe will serve the full Skillet menu and be open to the public Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, with plans to eventually stay open until 8pm. However, for us to focus on this new venture, we will not be sending the truck out in the near future. We will instead focus on the Cafe and catering. Contact us about catering your next big event.
