Today, the Fraternal Order of Police Jacksonville hosted their Annual Special Children’s Christmas Celebration at St. John Event Center. This event provided lunch to over 70 children from the Jacksonville Community, with each child receiving a visit and gift from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

St. John Event Center is proud to collaborate with the FOP, the Jacksonville community, and local non-profits and organizations that give back, embodying the true spirit of the holiday season.

Something "Blue"...While wearing or carrying “something blue” was also meant to deflect that Evil Eye, the color blue stands for love, purity and fidelity—three key qualities for a solid marriage.

Traditionally, the “something blue” was often a blue garter worn beneath the bride’s white dress. This is still a great option for today, but there are so many great ways to bring in your something blue! Sapphire jewelry, a pair of fantastic blue shoes, or gorgeous hydrangeas, just to name a few!
